hmmmm…. @Nick, are you saying that instead of the “confusing [bowler hat] diagram” we would instead have a straight black line but with a few dashes between ‘The Moment’ and ‘Regenerates as ‘Ecclestone’, where […]

@Nick, you seem to be answering your own questions!

From my understanding, the War Doctor forgets and everything after stays the same.

However, you did get me thinking about the Daleks. Particularly all of […]

You have both reassured me! I will now re-embrace my earlier ideas (well, maybe not Kennedy, but the other ones)…

@Shazzbot – thanks as ever for vigilance (Sorry @Nick, but these things are important. ALL refs to things on  the spoiler thread have to be kept off all other boards).

@Nick – could you pleasestop talking about what you’re discussing in the Spoilers section? Saying ‘the spoilers suggest X’ is just as bad as posting X.

And saying ‘your bonkers theory is wrong because I’ve […]

@all Woah, we really got the whole bonkers theorizing started again, didn’t we?

So much input, I am delighted.

First of all: @JimTheFish @Nick @pedant @ScaryB Thanks for reassuring me, felt all warm and fuzzy 😉

@JimTheFish Thanks for that very detailed reply! But can you please explain to me what a continuity porn is to you? (As you said here:…[Read more]

@Wolfweed. I’ve edited it for you. I don’t think it’s a big deal though as it was on the BBC site but I can also see @Nick‘s point and why @pedant thought better of it (I was wondering what that post was about, by the way).

It’s gonna be an interesting couple of weeks and there will be people who aren’t happy.

I wonder, though, and this is a…[Read more]

    @Nick – Sorry. I’m a bit defensive of late.

I hold my hands up – Post #20144 should have had a warning of ‘official spoilers’ or something & probably not the picture.

If @Shazzbot or another person with Time Lord powers wants to fix the post then great.

@Nick – The various Claricles, we’re told by River, are copies of Clara.

However, Clara-from-Blackpool, who we’re encouraged to presume is the Original Clara, appears to be a copy of the Doctor. She’s as smart as he is, she’s often a little ahead of him – and also, if Asylum Clara mirrors any Doctor, it’s the Tennant Doctor.

@Nick – @Timeloop has transcribed the ‘on screen’ mention of the Moment in post #20123.

We might know what it is in ‘non canon’ media but for all we know the tv version is a big hatstand that Dr Hurt bludgeons TLs & daleks to death with.

No reason to see it in TDOTD unless they’re going to explain certain events of The Time War…

@OsakaHatter Suitably bonkers! However, I think that your theory would require the participation of Eccleston, to return at end of episode to replace Hurt. Come to think of it…Jenna Coleman was kept under wraps before Asylum, so who knows?

Yeah 70 mins is an odd run time. Neither full movie length or even double ep length. Strange.

Apparently there is going to be an intro to the movie too so potentially it will be even shorter.

Zygons for 5 minutes seems to me to make sense.

Shapeshifters are always good for misdirection too.

At this stage I’m not ruling anything out.

@Nick. The status of the Zygon fleet. Here is my memory (admittedly it may be a false memory): the Zygon ship was destroyed, but there was a Zygon fleet out there somewhere on its way to Earth, and what happended to it was unresolved.

Admittedly, I am drawing on a memory of watching this 40 years ago, and these days I am lucky if I can remember…[Read more]

The only substantive objection I’m aware of (bound to be others though) is that D11 refers to him in the past tense. This and the apparent link to the Time War lends itself to a pre-11 setting better than a post 11.

This could be explained away by the timing of the HurtDoctor’s actions though.  If the actions that were not in the name of t…[Read more]
