@pedant

Mum’s apologies Mr P, she didn’t read the first post correctly &around that time she was experiencing some dental problems which led to the DrDentist prescribing some codeine in what is labelled in ‘Straya “Mersyndol, forte” which is  codeine + even more codeine. One reason why she liked swimming in 15 degree water -it numbed her…[Read more]

Like I said, repeating myself for some reason…

You might consider not doing that.

Puro

@blenkinsopthebrave being from Bris, you’ve done this trek many-a-time so we decided to do something unprecedented! Take a holiday which involved considerable driving and renting a lovely home -self catered – in Springbrook. On the first evening after a massive fry up  – – @pedant ignore this: think, instead, of mushrooms -ah, nope, hang on, not…[Read more]

I was born in 1967 which makes me 51 and one thing I know, @bluesqueakpip m’dear, and understand, is just how much work the arts ‘creates’ -and that was back in the late 90s and into the 00’s.

TV is even harder. I’d say next to politics working in television certainly ages a person considerably -not necessarily in looks but as noticed in the…[Read more]

@kevinwho

It’s hard I know, I was doing it too. As @pedant said “ignore” because there’s absolutely no point. They aren’t listening, they’re clueless, they don’t tag people and they don’t respond rationally. These types never do.

Cheers, Puro.

Of course I aint sayin’ they’re both good at all 🙂

Andy Mackay has some ‘nice’ comments about Godley and Crème.

It reminded me of the Doctor, in one way, because: “it was a minor skirmish by the Doctor’s blood soaked standards.”  The song is minor in skirmish, with little drama.

And to Ray Sawyer’s passing. A man who was both good and wore a…[Read more]

well, well, well.

I was listening to some choons over the new year and I found a great one for the Doctor -the one who has danced, who always dances. But then I also found this courtesy of the ABC.  Which for different reasons is also good for the Doctor.

Puro.

@kevinwho  He was camp wasn’t he? A jolly fine job. We started T, again. Re-booted this time, like the Doctor did 😉  This time with bought pizza bases and our own tomato sauce with….bacon and cheese. We also had a small amount of  green things @pedant (just a few, mind) on the pizza like parsley, chive, rosemary and thyme 😀  😀

@kevinwho @pedant

are we tendencious about the tendentious?

So in summary, as ScarySofa persons and a mudlarker  -ANY information whatsoever about cooking would be most welcoming. I  didn’t intend to mean: “YOU”RE teaching Thane to cook! You? Mwa-ha haa!”

So, I apologise for that rather rude-ish post @ScaryB @mudlark  xx  Can we put it down to the .005% of alcohol in the wine coolers?

Hmmm, probably not…[Read more]

@ScaryB @mudlark  Oh, this is FUNNY. You’re teaching our Thane to cook! OK, so did I tell you about the pasta lesson?

This is was nearly a year ago. I said ‘right, get ready, later you’ll place the pasta in the pot.” Foolishly I went to the mailbox. Came back and said “where’s pasta? It was just here.”

“It’s in the pot.”

And so it was. The pot…[Read more]

Happy new year’s to you both.  x0 x

I remember, yonks, or timey-whimeys agos, we had a Ragnarok theme during the end of the Smith era?

I’ve not watched the new ep yet. In fact, I haven’t hooked into the ABC much at all except for the occasional special from The Midwives or Foyles Wa…[Read more]

@pedant awesomely interesting. For some reason I always listen and watch these things the 2nd time around for the automatic subtitling.  🙂

Somewhere a “japan” and a “carol” featured as did “Cervantes and decibel” -the last was supposed to be DESMOND.

I find the “fervour” attached to these very industrious groups sometimes as exhausting as the…[Read more]

@Winston  Happy NY to you, also.

Lets all grab a hold 0f 2019 and make it do what its told.

I love that! Using those memory or vision patches the Doctor uses would help. I think in Capaldi’s first season 1 of PC and Clara where she wants the Doctor to find heaven and get Danny back (naturally, the Doctor, practised at Aikido, and fully aware…[Read more]

@bluesqueakpip brilliant idea. For me, some distance from the show can cause me to realise that the reasons could be because of other things affecting programming

@kevinwho  I just did this looong philosophy thing on logic, rationality and god: can you use rational thinking to prove the existence of God.

Sometimes we need to be emotional in the…[Read more]

completely ignore my spelling of Whittaker which self corrected!  😀

@bluffme

one more piece of proof the he is trying to fundamentally change how The Doctor is perceived. From Jodie Whittakers portrayal of The Doctor and the writing this season and now a new year’s episode instead of Christmas episode he has changed the series beyond salvation. I don’t believe I will watch next season in protest. I definitely am…

True, “my boyz”

“we’re not her boys” from Rory and “yes, we are” from the Doctor.

Enjoy Boxing Day!

@winston

I’ve almost fin-fished (gag, right there) the Vampires of Venice and despite how it was slagged off (a bit) I noticed Smithy being very, very ‘old’ school: “We don’t discuss this Amy. I tell you what to do and you do it.” Rory, in a weak  voice says, “thank you” whilst Amy tosses her hair and stomps off.

Just re-reading the Sofa posts…[Read more]
