@nerys     We watched Avenue 5 and liked it. I only watched the 1st series and I don’t know if there is any more. Will have to Google it. I have not heard about the other series and will have to Google it too.

We watched the 2nd series of Picard which we both liked and I watched all of the Umbrella Academy. For fun I saw the latest series of Tas…[Read more]

Well once again tis the season when all things are Christmas. We go Christmas shopping, bake Christmas cookies, sing Christmas carols and watch our favourite Christmas movies. The best tradition is Christmas Who and I have started a little early with The Christmas Invasion (see all things are Christmas) .

What is not to like about tuba gun totin’…[Read more]

  • @dentarthurdent   I really wish they had left that in, it would have made an excellent episode a little more magical.

    Happy 59th Birthday Doctor Who!

  • winston replied to the topic On The Sofa (10)

@blenkinsopthebrave  Sadly I agree about the 13th Doctor’s episodes but since I have them all except the last few specials I will watch them all again. I found Capaldi a little jarring at first but the more I watched him the more I understood “his” Doctor and learned to love the 12th. I am hoping the same happens on re-watching 13s era.

    I always…[Read more]

  • @dentarthurdent   This is an excellent episode that gives me all the feels. It is my daughters favourite episode and like me she cries at the end no matter how many times she watches it. The idea that Vincent could find out (by a handy trip to the future) that his work still survived and is loved and admired by so many is very emotional. Now t…[Read more]

  • @dentarthurdent  and @rewvian  i love these 2 episodes and now I am going to watch them!

  • winston replied to the topic S31 (5) 11 – The Lodger

@dentarthurdent and @janetteb  I had never seen or heard of any of them either so they were all new to me except of course Capaldi and Walsh, and I knew Walsh only from Coronation Street. We get Corrie here but not the game shows although I have heard of some of them.

Since I was a child I have loved all animals and most creatures (not mosquitos…[Read more]

@dentarthurdent  This is one of those episodes that I watch quite often because I like seeing the Doctor off the Tardis and out of his comfort zone. A fish out of water story. The difference between the comedy on the first floor and the horror on the “second floor” makes it very chilling. And that killer black mold growing on the ceiling is…[Read more]

@blenkinsopthebrave  The trailer was exciting. Thanks. I have mixed feelings about 13s time coming to an end. The endings are sad as endings usually are and then regeneration shock sets in as I get used to a new Doctor.I didn’t like all her episodes but I always liked her.

I probably won’t get to see it when it comes on but I will try.

    stay safe.

@thane16   Hey!  I hope everything is good for you and the family. We have been busy here getting all the fruit and veg harvested and jam and  jellied, pickled and preserved, frozen and dried and stored away for the long dark of winter. Although I love gardening and all the work that goes with it I am so happy when winter does  come. Almost 4 whol…[Read more]

  • @nerys  It is good to see that you were not too damaged by Fiona. We have family in PEI that had some bad damage and others in New Brunswick who got heavy rain and some flooding. Since there are so many family members there, they will all help each other till things are cleaned up.

I will tell the mister about Westworld, he likes it. It creeps me…[Read more]

@dentarthurdent   That was a great review , I think.  I have watched this, heck I own it but I can barely remember it. Strange,  anyway I will watch it later because I love Captain Jack.

I tried making a sour dough starter and after nearly killing it a few times but bringing it back to life I called it Captain Jack. Unfortunately it was not imm…[Read more]

@nerys   I hope you and yours are OK after such a violent and destructive  storm. The damage to many parts  of the Atlantic provinces is terrible and sadly even the loss of some people. Let us know how you are when you get a chance and know that the rest of Canada wants to help. I am so proud of how prepared you all were and how strong you are in…[Read more]

  • @blenkinsopthebrave   That looks very interesting and I put it on my watch list. Thanks.

@dentarthurdent  I am a massive fan of Sherlock and have watched it all a few times. It modernizes the characters and stories excellently, bringing Holmes and Watson to life in our time. It also has a really good cast! Have fun watching.

    Stay safe.

  • winston replied to the topic Dr Who News (5)

@blenkinsopthebrave   Well , it looks like they have all the major baddies in this one. It should be exciting with all those guys in it and the Master is always fun to watch. I am looking forward to this one and I hope they send the 13th Doctor off with a bang.

    stay safe

@nerys  @blenkinsopthebrave   Midnight is an intense episode that is like the Twilight Zone . I can almost hear the opening narration and the do-do music. We never know what exactly is happening or who is causing it and we never know why. Watching the small group of random tourists become so scared they turn into potential murderers is chilling. Tw…[Read more]

@dentarthurdent  I have enjoyed all of the first episodes but part of that is the anticipation I think. I have to say that Rose is my favourite  first story because it started my love of Who and the Doctor. It started a fantasy journey that I am still on and that I still enjoy as much as ever. When I watched the first series I didn’t even have a c…[Read more]

@dentarthurdent   I work part time (money) and the mister is retired but we still never have enough time to do what we want.  My house seems to be bigger on the inside when it comes to chores. We also like sitting by the creek and watching the wildlife a little too much.

I save most of my DVD viewing for the long and cold winter but I am about to…[Read more]
