@dentarthurdent This had a very fairy tale feel to it. Stories that feed a ship on top of a giant spider. The barbershop setting was so normal and everyday, you go in ,sit down and get your hair cut. What could be more normal? Except now you are trapped in an never ending circle of hair cuts and story telling and then your hair grows back so y…[Read more]

@nerys @blenkinsopthebrave and all my fellow Canadians and Whovians .Happy Canada Day! The lady looks good for her age. Our true north, strong and free. We have a lot of problems and there is lots of room for improvement but we are free to vote, to voice our concerns, to make our own decisions about our future and to stand up for the vu…[Read more]

@dentarthurdent Hercules and Xena were 2 shows we watched as a family and we all liked it. My youngest son was a big fan and still watches them now and then. Loved Gabby and Iolas and all the Gods and Romans that showed up. I remember that episode and got a chuckle out of the ending.
I don’t know why people forget George Westinghouse, he wa…[Read more]

@dentarthurdent I get the techie-angst , I feel the same about historical shows. Drives me up the wall if they get things wrong. Especially if they claim to be true or based on a true story.Lucky for me Doctor Who makes none of these claims so I kinda shrug and continue watching.
Your weather sounds lovely. We did cool down today to a nice 23…[Read more]

@dentarthurdent I do love a good story! If FX or CGI enhance the story than that is great. I loved when SmithDoc rode his motorcycle up the sides of the Shard or all the alien ships hovered over Stonehenge and the aliens get more convincing every series but you still have to have a good tale to tell. Lucky for me ,I am easily pleased and I li…[Read more]

@blenkinsopthebrave I also think it could be awhile before we see the Doctor back on TV. I really hope that doesn’t happen because I’m not getting any younger. If there is one thing I know about Who fans is that they/me have a lot of patience when it comes to Doctor Who. Some people will move on and maybe never return to the show but I wil…[Read more]

@janetteb You are so right. RTD could get so many great story ideas from us. I love Rose, she is the first companion in the first Who I ever watched and I was gutted when she left although happy that she got her own Doctor. Billie Piper could be anyone and I would be pleased.
I just felt that she seemed so happy and saying hello to who? It…[Read more]

After thinking on the last series and after 15s sudden regeneration I am sad to see him go before we really got to know him. He is the mysterious Doctor to me, almost a stranger. There were times when he was angry that I thought “the Doctor is in there” but other times I struggled to see them. He also made me tear up more than any of them but…[Read more]

@blenkinsopthebrave @thane16 @whohar @ps1l0v3y0u
Series 5 was wonderful from the very beginning to the bitter end. The Eleventh Hour was such a great introduction to a new Doctor and companion that my regeneration shock wore off quickly. The episode is set in one big lonely house and a very small village with only a small amount of FX but…[Read more]

@ps1l0v3y0u I would also like to see what Billie would be like as the Doctor even if it was just for a series or some specials. I just worry that RTD is playing with us and it turns out differently.
I saw Chris Eccleston on a panel on youtube and when asked who should be the Doctor he said Billie Piper. He thought it would drive us all (fa…[Read more]

@nerys So we will have a 16th Doctor who looks like Rose and the 14th Doctor who looks like the 10th around at the same time? The possibilities for bonkers theories are endless.
Maybe we need these two to be together to face the Boss, whoever that is. Maybe the Boss is someone from 10 and Rose’s time together and that is why the Doctor ch…[Read more]

Wow! What a ride that was. So much happening in one episode, so many people and so many plot twists. Anita saves the Doctor but then has to hold a door open for quite a while. Ruby ,Rosie, Unit and Mel all showed up to fight the bad guys and I loved it. The Doctors fighting clothes were kick-ass and he wore them well.
I have many questions but…[Read more]

My Grandfather was the seventh son. He was also born on Valentines Day so he was given the spectacular name of Septimus Valentine. For some reason lost to the past, he went by the name Sid. Unfortunately, or not, nobody has been named for him. Anyway, I don’t think he was particularly lucky or unlucky.
To me the poppy always means remembrance but…[Read more]

@blenkinsopthebrave I am sure that is what the Doctor shouted on his way down.Poppy is some how important in all this but smarter people than me might figure it out or we wait till next week.
This was a very full episode with so many people and so much strangeness. This might be a 3 pipe problem( in a long hot bath). One thing that I wasn’t s…[Read more]

@blenkinsopthebrave You do live in a special place that does need protecting. I remember being lulled to sleep by the barks of sea lions in the inlet and having a harbour seal swim up to me on the dock just to have a look. I could go on forever but you live there so you already know. I will check out the link later. Thanks

I just watched and I was wowed , as in “its Susan,Wow” and ” The Rani? Wow” and the Doctor is so pissed, wow.
The death toll on this one seemed very high but of course the Doctor saved everyone. I think everyone lived in the end although the Kid might not feel grateful to the Doctor for that. When the roof opened and all the people got sucked…[Read more]

I have to agree with @blenkinsopthebrave and Sherlock that this is a three pipe problem.I liked it but I didn’t understand all of it. I will watch it again and than come back here and see if wiser people than me have it all worked out.
The 15th Doctor is magnetic and electric and I enjoy watching his emotions play out on his face. He is really…[Read more]

@whisht Thanks for all the good music I got to listen to today. The Who is part of the sound track of my youth, I loved them as a teen and still do today even though we are all so much older.Older and better.
