@shepherd Hello! I used to run home from the school bus everyday to watch Star Trek in the 70s and I always missed the first 15 minutes or so. I started out already confused but I loved the show. I have watched them all many times since but there is nothing like the first time when I was a kid.

@dentarthurdent @blenkinsopthebrave I remember watching Star Trek as a kid and they ended up at the OK Corral but as the cowboys against Earp and Holiday . I was confused for a few years as to who were the bad guys, I mean it couldn’t be Kirk and the crew. It is funny how many shows do a western.

@dentarthurdent I still want to know more about Jeff ! Why is he storing such strange things ? Why so many beefy beans? Who are you Jeff?
I like this episode, fun fast and feisty, with fireworks at the end, who could ask for more?

winston replied to the topic Part 2 – War of the Sontarans
I enjoyed this episode a lot while I was watching it , the Doctor was very doctorish and there was some great banter. I am still liking Dan and his ability to cope with Sontarans , spaceships and a talking dog who hates him. The show looked good, the sets were good and the costumes were good but…..the story is confusing.
I really did like it…[Read more]

I decided to watch Flux again because I have found that the more I watch the 13th Doctor the more I like her. Flux needed a second chance from me so here I go.
There were many good things about this episode like Dan and his feisty parents and Liverpool. Dan helps at a food bank even though his cupboards are bare which doesn’t surprise me. In my…[Read more]

@janetteb @dentarthurdent @ps1l0v3y0u @nerys I really enjoy the Christmas episodes and watch them again every year in order. I like them all though of course I have some favourites like The Husbands of River Song and Doctor Mysterio and Voyage of the Damned. I like the fun ones I guess and I appreciate some others for being great episode…[Read more]

@ps1l0v3y0u @nerys @janetteb @dentarthurdent I am late to the table but here goes my attempt at my favourite non Moffat episodes for each series.
1. Dalek The 9th Doctors reaction when he saw the Dalek and his frenzied attempt to get away let me know how dangerous they were and the Doctors contemptuous rant was some pretty great…[Read more]

@janetteb The Doctor’s Wife is excellent! Such a wild combination of sheer terror experienced by Rory and Amy and the fun weirdness from Uncle and Auntie and the strange bitey lady who turns out to be the Tardis. Have fun.
@nerys That is what makes this site so good. The people are great. I agree with you about these 2 episodes, they are…[Read more]

@ps1l0v3y0u Yay!! We (and when I say we I mean them) finished the roof today. I was grounded, literally, due to my leg but I “helped” from below. The mister and our #1 son did it over a couple of weekends trying to dodge the hottest days. Nice shiny new shingles.
Somehow when I watch Doctor Who I miss loads of stuff and that is why I like it he…[Read more]

@ps1l0v3you I felt stupid when I heard that the Doctor talking about how he could dance and had danced meant anything other than dancing. Of course it does, how did I miss it ? I enjoy this episode whenever I rewatch but the first time I was very creeped out by the kid in the gas mask and the repeating “Are you my Mummy?” followed by compassion f…[Read more]

@dentarthurdent @janetteb I know I watched this because I commented before but I really don’t remember it. The main reason for that though is that one of the characters has the same name (first and last) as a family member who was watching with me. First I loved the connection to a Doctor Who episode and then it became a sort of silly game wh…[Read more]

@nerys We were there about 10 years ago and it was such a beautiful place. Everywhere I looked took my breath away and some brought me to tears. Now I cry for the people and the animals and the loss of so much forest. So many fires all across Canada in the last few years all causing devastating damage.
Communities across the country are a…[Read more]

@janetteb We have no fires yet here in Ontario although the heat has been stifling and expected to be worse next week. Where I am the we have had a lot of rain even causing flooding in some areas but it is helping prevent fires. All that water means so many bitey bugs they drive me inside.
In western Canada it is very hot and dry in some p…[Read more]

@nerys I know what you mean, I am hoping for sanity but bracing for insanity. The fact that Trump is back ,after a few years of calm and with the Bidens ,scares the heck out of me. Why is he still out from under his rock and not hiding in a cave in shame? Why would anyone vote for him?I am baffled and troubled by what it means to the USA and th…[Read more]

@dentarthurdent That sounds like quite the parking job! Too bad you lost your phone cause I would love to see that pic. I would gladly spend days in the Science Museum too. Your trip sounds like it is going great except for a few snags and Cornwall looks like a beautiful place. It always reminds me of Agatha Christie and Poirot. Am I envious? T…[Read more]

@ps1l0v3y0u I always listened to my Dad also, he was very wise. He told me that I had a few powers to influence Canada and the world and the most important in a Democratic society was to vote. The other was where my money went and who profits from it but that is another topic. See, he was very wise.
I have friends and family that don’t always…[Read more]

@blenkinsopthebrave That movie is magic and I have loved it since the first time I watched it ,50 or so years ago. It was on TV and I remember how emotional it made me. It has all the feels and leaves you grinning like an idiot. Everyone should watch it. I know I’ve had a crush on David Niven ever since.
It was called “Stairway to Heaven” her…[Read more]

@nerys The leg is healing well and now the work is on the knee in order to get it bending like it used to. It is a painful, frustrating process that has to be done if I want to walk without a cane and hopefully without a permanent limp. I have never broken a bone or had surgery until now and I thought I would do a good job of it. I think with all…[Read more]
