Not sure if it is news or sofa material, but this riff on Jimmy Kimmel’s Mean Tweets is fun:

( @craig – any idea why Tweets don’t seem to be embedding any more?)

@Craig

Thanks for your vigilance! I zapped both Ariana and Lambarth Peter into the trash bin as soon as spotted in my inbox today. All these dodgy looking strangers begging for my friendship leaves me feeling anything but friendly 😡

@craig

Is this spam season or something? Anyway, this time it’s Lambarth Peter who has something to share with me. Sadly, I suspect he may have something to share with many other people.

hi there @craig

we have one “Ariana” seeking to be good friends as she works for the US army 🙂

I’m very happy to lend her out.

@missy

Sorry to hear of your troubles. Hope your OH is on the mend. Good to have you back with us.

@craig

Also sorry to hear of your employment woes. Hope it’s all going OK and that there’s new things on the horizon. I too have pretty much been having a jobless year. Needless to say, don’t worry about the site until you get yourself on an even…[Read more]

@craig

I’ve done this again, don’t know what happened above?

How about that for a coincidence? Five minutes either way and it might never have happened.
More like helping the Doctor in Spice and Thyme.
Sorry *grins*
So sorry to hear about your job.  Are you looking for another?

@craig Sorry to hear you’ve had some really tough times.  I hope things turn around soon, and how cool that you encountered Matt!

I don’t follow filming reports and such, and a recent shoulder injury’s still got me down, so I’ve been quiet too.  But hopefully Series 11 will give me lots to talk about!  🙂  Also, I made it to the Reg…[Read more]

@craig  Thanks so much for the whole set of interviews with Moffat — I’d not seen the third installment before.  With  Moffat, there’s always something fresh or new — to me, at least.  Always a pleasure.

@thane16  @blenkinsopthebrave  I try to see “Close Encounters” about once every 5 yrs or so; love the optimism, the lack of paranoia and gener…[Read more]

Hi @Craig Lovely to hear from you but not so good re’ the job situation. Still being unemployed has its’ benefits as I have discovered these past few years. Trouble is I find I am just as busy if not more so than an employed person but not getting paid for it. What I do is a hell of a lot more rewarding though and hopefully benefits others…[Read more]

@craig   Wow!  Your helpful  manner paid off big time. You gave the 11th Doctor directions in time and space. You are “the boss”. I would probably have gone mute and not even asked him if he was Matt. Then I would have walked away wishing I had said a 100 things. I am pretty sure that I will never bump into any of the Doctors in my little town but…[Read more]

@craig What an awesome story! (Not the bit about your employment woes…that bit is a bummer.)

But the fact that you should run into Matt Smith and give him directions in space and time. Fabulous!

Clearly, you are our Emperor for many reasons!

@pedant -I’m replying to you whilst Thane is cooking dinner.

If we reply you know no-one’s food is poisoned.  No worries with the taggin’.

@Winston  thank you -and how are you doin’?

My laptop is being “checked over”and I’m borrowing one but unfortunately it won’t let me access facebook which is how, sometimes, I communicate.  Also, rather fo…[Read more]

@everyone  Has anyone ever watched the series “The Last Detective” with Peter Davison as Constable Dangerous Davies? I lucked out and found the set of 4 seasons at a second hand shop for just ” 8 of our Canadian dollars” (to misquote @craig) . It is a pretty entertaining tale of a very nice man doing a very tough job. Nice to see the 5th Doctor…[Read more]

@bluesqueakpip and @janetteb —

Of course. RL can be a bitca sometimes. Was in no way having a pop at @craig. Just wondering what the state of play was.

That commentary sounds really interesting, Pip. By all accounts, it sounds like it was a hair-raising experience production-wise. Certainly being a script-editor on those old studio treadmill…[Read more]

Hi all,

Unless I’m in someway special and have been singled out, some of you may have received a message from @keranuu6543 inviting you to be her friend (and has very kindly supplied me with her private email address). I’m pretty sure I don’t need to say this but do not respond.

Keran / Karen claims to work for the US Army but, given the English…[Read more]

@craig    Isn’t it annoying when real life happens?  Really though it is good to see you back and thank you for the link. I will have to get me some of those books.

Okay, a mere one-and-a-half weeks late. Blame Holy Week and Easter. 😀

Great episode – this is such a well written story. Within the limitations of time and budget it’s so well done.

For example, last week’s cliffhanger isn’t resolved easily. Ian really has to work at escaping from the rapidly rising water. I also note that what the scriptwriter…[Read more]
