Join the club! I always found Martha very irritating. Wasn’t mad about Rory and Amy either, but they were better than Martha.
Loved Rose and Donna

We’ve got, the three DW at the Proms – two DT’s and one MS and the music is superb. Now I’m waiting for another DW at the Proms, with PC’s music.
Cheers

It really sounds ike PC doesn’t it, but unless he confesses – one way or t’other – we may never know for sure.
We found the Musketeers rather tedious, the only shining light was PC as the Cardinal. but the music was, I agree,
good.
One wonders how long MG will continue to compose for DW.
At the moment, I’m re-watching Merlin, it keeps me away from DW and is no hardship.

Have answered your post on the Before the flood thread.
You’ve all been gentle, even when some idiot comes on board.

13 February 2016 at 07:29 #50962Since watching this eposode – a few times *winks* – it seems to that the doctor obvioulsy taught the Daleks “mercy” and “exterminate”

Here you go. Taken from Google.
Read and wonder.Cheers,

During the explanation, the Doctor puts on his guitar and plays the famous ‘fate knocking at the door’ theme from Beethoven’s Fifth, as Gold’s new, rock-inspired arrangement of the opening credits kick in.
Capaldi himself is widely-rumoured to have provided the electric guitar over the top of the credits, and fans have already taken to Twitter to mark this version of the theme tune as their favourite so far:
12 February 2016 at 00:47 #50952Watched this again yesterday. I really enjoy the bootstrap paradox theory.
Now then, is it me, or is it Peter Capaldi playing the Doctor Who theme on his guitar? Nothing in the credits.
Cheers,
Missy
ps If this has been mentioned before – sorry, be gentle with me.

Hello there,
Yes, I do mean the notifications on this site. As soon as I click on one, the rest is deleted?
The notifacations which come to my emails is fine. Very strange.
Thank you anyway.
Cheers,
Missy
9 February 2016 at 05:19 #50931Although I’ve mentioned this before, I am still no wiser.
Whenever I revieve more than one notification, as soon as I click on one, the other/s disappear.
How can I avoid this?
To make sure I don’t miss anyone, I have to write down who they are, and where they are – damn nuisance.
Please help
Cheers,
Missy
9 February 2016 at 05:14 #50930For my part I enyed 42, but don’t consider it as good as Midnight.
Yes, i kow that Russell T. Davies wrote this, but it was as odd as 42.
Cheers,
Missy
9 February 2016 at 05:04 #50929Thank you fellow Whovian, that’s a great help! Perfectly valid excuse though. *winks*

Missy
8 February 2016 at 04:16 #50905I cannot remember Adric, so I can’t comment. However, in my opinion Claar was damned good, as were Rose and Donna.
Martha, Rory and Amy were all right – Amy better than Martha at least.
River Song wins the gold though, even though she wasn’t strictly speaking, a companion.
Cheers,
Missy
8 February 2016 at 04:09 #50904Of coruse! I always forget Ashildr, she is very forgettable – I know, I’m cruel.
So, we still don’t know who the Hybrid is then? Missy or the Doctor, or someone we’ve forgotten.
How about his Daughter? I keep waiting for her to reappear.
Wasn’t it a treat, when the Doctor entered the cafe, the radio was playing “Don’t stop me now.” I was waiting
for the Doctor to mention it, although he did mention Mummy on the Orient Express.
Cheers,
Missy
8 February 2016 at 04:01 #509038 February 2016 at 03:59 #50902I do understand, and am usually up for trying something new. But I am of the view that if a thing isn’t broken, don’t fix it.

Oh dear! did you really like LOTR? Much too noisy for me.
As for The Hobbit, the library supplied a copy free, and it was so boring.
The Doctor has always been a male and, for my part, I like it that way.Cheers,
Missy
8 February 2016 at 03:52 #50900I saw that clip. PC was most amusing – as usual – and you are right, PJ can’t act for toffee! It would be something to look forward to should SM still write the odd episode, not that I have anything against CC.
Neil Gaiman would be a pleasant entrant too. The Doctor’s Wife amongst my favourites.Cheers,
Missy

7 February 2016 at 09:12 #508797 February 2016 at 09:09 #508787 February 2016 at 09:05 #50877I’m going to be annoying now – sorry in advance – but this has been eating at me.
When the Hybrid was first mentioned, at first I thought Time Lord plus Dalek, then dismissed the idea. As CapDoc says, “the Daleks would never allow it.”
Then I decided that The Doctor was the Hybrid, because he is so fond of the Human Race, and at the end of Heaven Sent, he actually says that he IS the Hybrid. Plus, (and I can’t remember where I heard this) it was said says that the Doctor was told something about the Hybrid when he was a boy, which terrified him.
Why is it, that the General wants to know who it is, when CapDoc already admittted it to his Will and Testament?
Someone on this forum said, that SM wouldn’t lie to us, he’s always fair. This leaves me assuming that The Doctor IS the Hybrid, as he’s fracturing time in his quest to save Clara.
My point is: Who do you think is the Hybrid – Missy?
Cheers,
Missy
7 February 2016 at 08:43 #50875Of course Clara did – for a moment. She’s losing her best friend, someone she never, ever lied to.
It’s a shame she had to die, but at least she will have some fun before the inevitable, by going the long way round.I watched Face the Raven, Heaven Sent and Hell Bent yesterday afternoon – one after the other – whilst my OH was palying Lawn Bowls. Needless to say I cried like a baby.
As puro stated: Hell Bent or Heaven Sent they are master-classes in both writing and acting for everyone.
I’ll drink to that.
Cheers

For my part, I’m not just ‘less than enthusiastic’ about a female Doctor, I don’t want a female Doctor.
Should it be inevitable, definitely not Maisie williams. Unlikely as she’s supposed to be imortal – not a Time Lord.
As for PJ making an episode, he goes in for flippin’ epics – not happy Jan.
Cheers,
Missy
7 February 2016 at 08:25 #50872@kharis. I couldn’t agree more. What a treat to have Peter Capaldi for another four years – oh the joy of it!
Thing is, he did say that he’d stay as long as DW had the current writers.
All we can hope, is that as he loves being the Doctor so much, he might change his mind.
Cheers in hope,
Miss
5 February 2016 at 09:19 #50848You all probaly know this, but just in case.
On Youtube, there’s a section of clips about River Song.
One is entitled: Doctor + River(vertical line) Hello from the other side. This is followed by more.
If you like River and her meeting’s with the Doctor (especially Capaldi) I recommend them.Cheers,
Missy.
P.s Make sure the tissues are handy.
5 February 2016 at 08:48 #508475 February 2016 at 08:46 #50846Aha! Someone else who didn’t like the film with Paul McGann. The only interesting bit, was seeing him regenerating into John Hurt.
Cheers,
Missy
5 February 2016 at 08:43 #50845@arbutus. I had all the series on my lap. *grins* I must add, the I actually did not like The Rebel Flesh, or the Almost People. Nothing wrong with the cast, but I simply couldn’t abide these two. AND, I forgot to mention that in series 9 part one, The girl who died and the girl who lived – I could really live wishout.
Unfortuantely, I don’t remember much of the original series from 1963, so can’t comment.
@ichabod Thanks for the link. The question about the ‘screwdriver” given to River in “Husbands” is exactly the same as the one she used in “The Library.” It makes far more sense that it’s the same one, and CapDoc tinkered with it so that River would be saved. he is a Time Lord after all.
Re: The Box set of series 9, is, as far as I know, DVD as well as Blueray. I hope so because I’ve got it on my wish list at AmazonUK. And yes, it does feature The Husbands of River Song and all the rest.
Fortunately I’ve friend who is going to buy Part 1 and 2 of 9 from me, so I shan’t be much out of pocket.
Have a look on Amazon, it gives all the details.Cheers

5 February 2016 at 08:27 #50844One wonders whether clara wishes that she’d been the one to forget after all – just for a moment. The grief must have been overwhelming, she looked bereft.
Cheers,
Missy
5 February 2016 at 08:25 #50843@puroandson Point taken.

3 February 2016 at 10:29 #507983 February 2016 at 10:27 #50797Hello there. As I’m nothing if not thorough, you shall get your list – in detail.
I’ve gone through all the series and shall post tomorrow.
After I’d finsihed, I found that the majority of ++ (this will make sense when i post) were written by Steven
Moffat – now, there’s a surprise. *big, big grin*
Not at all fed up, great idea.
cheers,
Missy
3 February 2016 at 10:19 #50796Oh I agree.
The look on Clara’s face actually made my eyes sting, they really conveyed a sense of loss. I thought part of her really wanted him to remember her.You are quite right, thank you.
Cheers,
Missy
2 February 2016 at 09:28 #50774There’s no question! *big grin*

1 February 2016 at 10:51 #50756They are indeed very kind and – in my case – patient.
I decided to not see the last six episodes of DW 9 until I got the DVD. Naturally I’m so far behind everyone it isn’t funny. Have seen all of them now and shan’t be going down that path in series 10.
Enjoy
Missy
1 February 2016 at 10:46 #50754It’s time, really time – this time – for the men in white coats to take me in charge.
Why you ask? Or maybe you don’t ask!
I watched Heaven Sent again last night!!!!!!!
Help is required I’m becoming obsessive – well – more obsessive.
Cheers
Missy
1 February 2016 at 10:42 #507531 February 2016 at 10:40 #50751We watched a programme on TV last night called: How Climate Change Made History
It ran for two hours – with adverts – and was a real eye opener. Most of the info has been around for ages, but it was like fresh air to actually hear that’s it’s all hapenned many times before.
Cheers,
Miss
