Hello! 🙂
I’m 14. I like Matt Smith first, then David. I feel the same way with all the Doctors … I started to love Capaldi just recently.
20 April 2017 at 19:59 #56504I loved the new episode! Bill seems really sweet. Also the trailer at the end looks full of reminders of Old DW, which is cool. During the last few seconds … that wasn’t the Master, was it?
4 April 2017 at 09:22 #55965@garnetto1992 Really, you run Whovian Sins?! I LOVE THAT CHANNEL!
4 April 2017 at 09:15 #55964Hi everyone! I haven’t had any internet connection for MONTHS. I know, it was the end of the world. But luckily it got fixed on Thursday. So I return to the Forum!
7 November 2016 at 16:33 #54599@thehumantimelord Apparently. Well, my parents hate it but most of my friends love it.

2 November 2016 at 16:35 #54513I think that it’s just the Doctor coming to terms with the fact that Clara’s time had come to die and he had to move on and stop sulking and start being the Doctor. I agree, though, that the story arc wasn’t as good as in series 8, but I did enjoy the episode.
1 November 2016 at 07:48 #54497@thehumantimelord I really liked Donna, I thought she was really funny and worked well with David Tennant, but occasionally she got on my nerves. Occasionally. Also, my whole family has had bad experiences with The Catherine Tate Show, and they all instantly hated her, and sort of tried to turn me against her.
30 October 2016 at 09:43 #5447329 October 2016 at 16:23 #54464Two things I didn’t understand about this (amazing) episode were
1. The things Missy wrote at the beginning. I’m quoting from memory, but it was something like ‘Hey you Missy, you so fine you blow my mind hey missy hey’. Was that a code or something? Please let me know.
2. The name of the episode. I know the answer’s really obvious and I’ll feel really stupid when I find out.
29 October 2016 at 08:38 #54450*friends’, sorry. They call me a dictionary but I can’t even get the grammar right.
29 October 2016 at 08:37 #54449Thank you! My friends nicknames for me are ‘Doctor Potter’ which I like and ‘Dictionary’, which is probably not a good sign. Oh well. I’ll do my best.
27 October 2016 at 10:17 #54424@puroandson I would love to ‘chuck ’em out’, but I’m not allowed. Tell that to my teacher!
27 October 2016 at 08:58 #54422@miapatrick You literally summed up my exact thoughts while watching the episode! I think it’s definitely the saddest yet in the series. Face the Raven had a huge shock value, but as the Doctor said, it’s not the day you loose someone, it’s all the days they stay dead.
27 October 2016 at 08:49 #54421These episodes are amazing! I was slightly disappointed that they didn’t feature River, who I love. Although maybe the Rose-River and Sarahjane-River conversations might have been slightly awkward!
27 October 2016 at 08:42 #54420I am a very odd person! Also my teacher always encourages me to use words like ‘somewhat’, ‘therefor’, ‘whereas’, ‘moreover’ etc.
27 October 2016 at 08:39 #54419Oh! Thanks, that’s very helpful!
26 October 2016 at 19:11 #54406Okay, here’s my theory about the Day of the Doctor.
So, Hurt and Capaldi are a bit older than Eccleston, Tennant and Smith. It may just be a coincidence, but did anyone notice how Hurt repeatedly asked the other two about why they were so afraid of being grown-ups? And then they looked at him somewhat oddly? In the Time War, it was certainly an ageing experience. The Doctor was faced with an extremely tough and extremely grown-up decision. After that, he tried to put it behind him, and not dwell on it again. Well, perhaps the War Doctor is why they’re so afraid of growing up – they prefer to bounce cheerfully around space and time fixing planets, insisting on looking young and fresh as opposed to growing up and making tough decisions like that again. With each regeneration after Hurt, the Doctor gets younger, and more whimsical and childish. After The Day of the Doctor, however, they accept the War Doctor, accept that it wasn’t entirely his fault, and accept that we all have to make tough, and adult, decisions sometimes. Then Smith generated into Capaldi, became older and less childish and carefree. Could this mean anything?
‘All those years, shutting you out, pretending you didn’t exist … you were the Doctor on the day it wasn’t possible to get it right.’ — the Doctor.
‘When you love an ageless god who insists on the face of a twelve year old … never let him see the damage, and never, ever, let him see you age.’ — River Song
26 October 2016 at 18:39 #54405Did anyone pick up on that music they played when the woman entered that barn place where the Doctor was? It’s the same music they played in The End of Time pt 2 when that mysterious Timelady person opened her eyes and looked at the Doctor. Do you know what I’m talking about?
To those that do, does anyone know what that music as about? Is it just generally Timelordy music? Or ‘OMG, it’s the Doctor’ music? Or who even is that mysterious woman in The End of Time? Maybe she’s the Doctor’s mother! Maybe it’s ‘The Doctor’s Mother’ music?
Does anyone know? Or even know what I’m talking about? Please let me know!
26 October 2016 at 18:16 #54404@janetteb I agree that Martha’s writing wasn’t quite as consistent as some other characters, but I think she was severely underrated! Some people think that she was weak, whiny and dependant on the Doctor, though I thought she took being constantly compared to and in the shadow of Rose fairly well. And she was actually incredibly strong in some episodes, like when she walked the entire Earth to defeat the Master and rescue the Doctor and when she had to live in the early nineteen hundreds as a maid and had to battle sever racism.
But then everyone is entitled to their own opinion. What’s your New Who order?
26 October 2016 at 09:41 #54402My favourites have always been Smith and Tennant, but I also like Baker, Troughton, Capaldi and Pertwee.
26 October 2016 at 09:37 #54401@dalektor I like lots of episodes in NuWho. I all the Series 9 episodes and all of series 6 in particular.
26 October 2016 at 08:52 #54400@janetteb I loved Leela too, but didn’t think she was as good as a couple of the others. She probably comes close sixth to my top five.
26 October 2016 at 08:50 #54399@puroandson
Loving the moniker! Thanks for the welcome. I’m only thirteen, nearly fourteen.
I’m glad people have actually realised the awesomeness of the music. I’ve never actually heard anyone mention it before so I assumed no one noticed it.
25 October 2016 at 20:01 #54391I was obsessed with Doctor Who from the age of about six.
My mean older cousins had ‘Utopia’ on their laptop, and they decided to make me watch it in an attempt to freak me out. It didn’t work. As anyone who’s watched the episode will know, it ends on a huge cliffhanger, and I demanded to be shown the next episode! I was hooked, even though I didn’t know who this ‘Master’ guy was.
It’s just so brilliant, so fascinating, so wonderful in every way. Each episode is a spin-off. It really gets you into the companion’s life … I could say so much that’s already been said about the brilliance of the show. However, I’m not going to. Instead I’m going to tell you something hardly anyone has noticed: how amazing the music of Doctor Who is. Seriously, listen to the piece I am the Doctor on youtube or whatever. You’ll see what I mean!
25 October 2016 at 19:33 #54390Well …
New Who
I loved all five companions so far on New Who. The first companion I watched was Martha. I thought she was smart, kind, and a great character and I don’t get why so many people dislike her. Does anyone else have a reason? I’d love to here it. Anyway, Martha’s exit was a bit limp and Donna proved much more funny and she worked great with David Tennant — but I sort of missed Martha too. It was only then that I started watching Rose. I liked her as a companion, but I preferred the other two. Sure, she was funny and kind and all that, but I thought the other two were much stronger characters. Then Amy arrived, and I loved her, and I formed a sort of loyalty towards her that I didn’t have toward the others. I was deeply upset when she and Rory left, and I remained hostile towards Clara until SHE left and then I realised that Clara was an even better companion. Dammit. Don’t tell Amy.
So my overall order is
Clara, Amy, Martha, Rory, Donna, Rose.
I also love River and Jack.
Please don’t kill me I’m sorry I don’t like Rose or Donna as much as the others! They’re still amazing characters!
Classic Who
I can’t go through all the companions here, but here are my top five.
Sarah Jane, Brigadier Alister Lethbridge Stewart, Romana, Ace, Jamie and Jo joint.
I’m sorry, they were just the best. But all companions are great! Well, except for some, Ahem, Adric, Melanie, Kamelion, Adam … but not too many.

25 October 2016 at 19:11 #54388What an amazing way to start a series! Love all the characters. Especially Missy! Everything about her, from her amusing conversations with Clara, to her complex relationships with the Doctor, to her Scottish accent, makes me love her even more every time she gets a line. How’s this for an idea: River Song returns to have a conversation with Missy?
I know it would make River’s tragic story more drawn-out than ever. But wouldn’t it be worth it? It would be hilarious! Imagine their arguments about who knows the Doctor best, their constant attempts to out-violent each other in a fight against any monsters, both of their constant needs to be in control of the situation — it would be pure Doctor Who gold! Let me know if you agree!
25 October 2016 at 18:51 #54387Also, I loved the general vibe the Doctor gets on Gallifrey. Like fear, respect and protectiveness all at once. It was the best possible combination of great writers, great directors and great actors. I loved it!
25 October 2016 at 18:51 #54386This episode was so breathtaking and dramatic and it really kept me on my toes! All the actors were brilliant, and it the script was a work of genius! I think it was definitely one of the best New Who episodes ever. Peter Capaldi was just amazing. We really saw that darker side to the Doctor — after he’d lost his best friend and been trapped in the confession dial for so many years, he became almost not the Doctor any more. I loved the return of the Time-Lords, Me, briefly the weeping angels, and, of course, Clara. The end was both happy and sad and I think it was a fitting end for a wonderful companion.
25 October 2016 at 18:43 #54385I love this episode. I know lots of people dislike Martha as a companion but I really enjoyed her as a character, and I thought she was brilliant in<i> 42. </i>All of the characters are fun and have a great personality. It’s funny yet dramatic and thought-provoking. I like that it plays off the much used idea of the Doctor and his companion being on a remote base or ship and being attacked by an unknown monster, but it puts a new twist on it with the whole ‘sun being alive thing’, which is a really good idea.
