Welcome, @peacefrog! I too lurked a long time before joining in the fun.

@thane16   Not sure if Midnight was a tranquility base, but it was certainly the same kind of place. Definitely a recall there, and that was one of my favourite Tennant episodes!

@vervain   whether you stop being a fan of whichever team you follow if they lose a few ga…[Read more]

@Craig Thanks – and yes it was my fault – I was trying to copy and paste too much Wikipedia about DNA separating techniques!

@claire54 My overall take is, now that we have a female doctor, the writers don’t know what to do with her.

Yes, unfortunately I do not think Chibnall has been equal to the task.

Elements which I’ve found jarring in the w…[Read more]

@craig I’m having trouble posting as the website thinks I’ve ghost-posted already?!

I have to agree with @Craig , @Mudlark and others when they suggest this is an improvement on Series 11. To be upfront I didn’t get much from the last series and special at all, and I may write a blog about it sometime rather than going episode by episode.

This had pace (almost frenetic compared to series 11) and I thought the direction and…[Read more]

@spider haha I loved your dalek riff.

@craig and @mudlark – dammit, now I fancy a G n T too!

Well, Spyfall was a romp I grant you, and I wish I didn’t feel this way, but it left me kind of cold, sadly.

I felt Chibnall chucked the kitchen sink at it, from cameo Stephen Fry, to new Master, but that I couldn’t find the emotional beats, the pulse o…[Read more]

In my case the couple of gins and tonics were before dinner, but I agree with @craig and @spider that, for my money, those two episodes are well above the standard of the last series and suggest that Chibnall is finally hitting his stride. Episode 1 as the opener was highly enjoyable and the Bond theme was fun with all the essential ingredients -…[Read more]

And please @pedant.

Don’t bother @craig with yet another complaint about me. Yeah, we know, you’re ‘special’. He’ll get the gist. As a wise man once said (it may have been @whisht) “go fuck yourself”.

@craig

welcome back to the land of the living(-ish).

Speaking of living-ish, a forum for Dracula?

@craig, @fatmaninabox, or any other Time Lords out there,

could we have another On the Sofa page for Christmas…?

@craig  ??

Please sir, we need a new Sofa, I think. I can’t find things. There’s old wrappers from sweeties in 2017. And now I’ve gone & lost a whole memory thing. It’s been swiped. No Resolution. How could this happen? Did it have the Daleks? It had to, right? All the requirements et. al etc etc.

@pedant @toinfinityandbepond

thank you. Yes I recall this, now. Tennant was very good at this -if that’s the right word

Also @Jimthefish @craig when I click on a user’s name or on the discussion thread I notice we go right back to page 1? From 2017. Do we need a new place?

Syzygy.

PS @craig – we really need a new sofa.

@JanetteB and @Craig

I think The Invasion of Time has some weird ‘Don’t watch this story’ curse upon it. The latest is that I need a new Blu Ray Player. 🙁

Do you think we’ll get to the end of this story before the new series starts?

Hello everyone!  Today is Thanksgiving in Canada, a day to celebrate the harvest and to give thanks for the good things in your life. We ate roast turkey and all the side dishes you can think of followed by pies for desert . I baked a lemon and apple pie with lots of whipped cream. My boys and granddaughters left with full bellies and leftovers…[Read more]

@craig @jimthefish

I think it is time for a new sofa. Let’s go all in with the pink dayglo this time.

The TV thread is getting there too.

I don’t think Dr Sachin Gupta is the right kind of Doctor…

@thane16, @craig

Hi Syzygy the elder–or, indeed Puro (the incomparable),

l seem to to be still courted by Kayla. Not that I want to be, of course.

p.s. Has your name changed as you indicate? Has mine? Mrs Blenkinsop still seems to recognize me, and to be honest, that is all that matters.

@craig

I’ve had several emails from  a number of sweet young ladies with many important and urgent things to discuss.

As well as items for removal -should I wish it. Frankly, I’d be thrilled down to my bootstraps if they would remove  carpet from d’house and take it to waste disposal. Heck, they can have the old wet mattresses from d…[Read more]
