@fatmaninabox
Time LordHave just watched the video and, in a way, he’s quite brave to make his point in the media.
However, if he can write as well as Steven Moffat, he should submit a script.
The boy has a right to his opinion, even though he’s wrong.
We know that Davros got the word ‘mercy’ when he was a boy and the doctor saved him, telling him always “Mercy.”
As we weren’t there, the writers had to show us this. Does this boy actually watch the show?I found his vid rather funny.
Thanks for posting it Craig.
cheers,
Missy

I am, but a little heartsore too – is that one word?
Cheers,
Missy
20 January 2016 at 08:00 #50278Exactly! It’s the flaws in people which make them human, and I think that’s what endears me to this Doctor – as you say – his flaws.
We know that eventually PC will leave, it isn’t welcome knowledge.
cheers,
Missy
19 January 2016 at 09:25 #50238Just finsihed watching this for a second time, and all fell into place. I can be rather dense at times. *big grin*
I laughed out loud when the Doctor says that likes ‘to ponce about’ in the plane!
He is such a dag.
Cheers Missy.
19 January 2016 at 09:22 #50237Although i really enjoyed the first three Doctors (since 2005) each with their varied ways of potraying the Doctor.
Peter Capaldi has brought something special to the part, in my opinion he is more ‘human’ than the other three.
It’s interesting to read other points of view, but seriously (as clara would say) there is no need for you to carry
on watching the programme if you detest it so mcuh – is there?
Missy
19 January 2016 at 09:17 #50236@puroandson
All of those adjectives fit the bill. Of course we need citicism, but not necessarily that negative.
Ta muchly for answering.

@ichabod replied:Yup. It hit me when her painted image was left behind in bits by the departure of the Tardis: it’s over, and they’ve both moved on in the most definite ways. Thank you, Steven Moffat, for an absolutely brilliant resolution of this quite amazingly varied and vibrant love story, or *whatever* the hell it was . . . and by the way, I think the writing has been, by and large, excellent: clever, efficient, and wide-enough ranging in tone to please the varied audience.
Now thatscene was particularly poignant, as was the two Tardis’s flying off in opposite dierections.

Missy
19 January 2016 at 09:09 #50234Glad that it wasn’t just me, and ‘mind blowing? Good adjective.
Perhaps the reference to ‘the long way round’ was to get devotees wondering whether or not we’ll see Clara again and
thinking up various scenarios?
SM hinted that it wasn’t likely, but then he’s like the Doctor – he lies.
Cheers,
Missy
18 January 2016 at 10:16 #50200Thanks to all who answered my posts, mostly ichabod. I cannot find you, so this was my best bet.

Missy
18 January 2016 at 10:11 #50199Can anyone come up with a new adjective for this episode?
I cannot find any to fit, they all fall short.Did it get into your heads and stay for most of the day?
It got into mine and it took an age to shake it out.Did any of you dream about it, after taking forever to fall asleep in the first place?
I did!During Heaven Sent, I thought that the Hybrid might be the Doctor, half Time Lord, half human, I said so to my OH.
Whether this is actually the case – who nose! The switch of making the Doctor forget Clara, was pure genius – in fact the whole episode was pure genius.
I unashamedly bawled my eyes out. There, I’ve run out of things to say, what can I say. Perhaps that for me, this series has been the best yet.
Steven Moffat is a force to be reckoned with.
Now I shall watch the series all over again, it was well worth waiting for.
Cheers – in awe,
Missy
18 January 2016 at 09:59 #50198It took me a bit, but I got it!
Brilliant writing.
One puzzle, what had ‘bird’ got to do with anything?
Was it the Raven? I know that a bird pecking away could eventually break through anything but………?

17 January 2016 at 03:16 #50191Hello each, I’m still recovering! tonight I shall watch the final epi and the extras, then get back to you.
One thing before I go. A second shadow? Isn’t that the Vashta Nerada?
Must stop thinking about this epi, think I’ll lie down for a bit.16 January 2016 at 01:54 #50173Like a fool, I started watching this epiesode after Face the Raven, couldn’t help myself. *grins*
My jaw began to ache because it was resting on my chest – almost!
Pressing the stop button on my handset, I sat there for a while, head in a whirl.
Just twelve minutes in when I stopped it, and I can’t wait until tonight to see the rest.
What a doosy!
Watch this space.
Missy
16 January 2016 at 01:40 #50172My gawd! I enjoyed this one – exceedingly.
I felt for the Doctor, there was nothing he could do – this time.
He has said that he can’t always save the day and this was one of those days.
Clara did bring it on herself by trying to be clever, thereby outsmarting herself. Still, as she said, perhaps this was what she wanted, because she was never truly happy after Danny died.
A bit of a weeper I fear – loved it though.
The only downer was Maisie Williams – again! I don’t know what it is about her, but she always rubs me up the wrong way.Missy
15 January 2016 at 10:32 #50159@puroandson
Thank you too puro. No I have only watched 7/8 once so far. As usual this bird is tormenting herself by only
watching one a night! So I’m bonkers I hear you all say. Of course I am! I’m a Whovian aren’t I?
When people die they are ‘dead’in my book, not ‘passed away.’
Cheers,
Missy
15 January 2016 at 10:28 #50158Thank you so much. As I said I did catch the word “story.”
Make no mistake, I shall watch again and again until I get it.
Cheers for that,

I have managed to readf some of the posts, and might be a little bit more in the loop!
As someone said, they really have it in for Clara. Does anyone wonder if she could be a “Ganger” from the Flesh
episodes with MS?
It’s really annoying because usually I’m on the same wave length of Mark and Steven?
Still need help though – please.
Cheers,
Missy
15 January 2016 at 04:16 #50146It’s seldom I say this, but I didn’t like this episode. Perhaps I’m dense, but what the hell was it all about?
Yes, I know, sleep deprivation, but I couldn’t make head nor tail of this.
The only clue I thought, was the Doctor saying that ‘this is a story.”
The last line was really chilling though. I found it really odd putting the crdits at the end instead of the
beginning.
If this is the only episode from 9 series that I don’t get, I’m doing well. *big grin*
Could someone explain it all for me please.
I shall watch it again, naturally.
Cheers,
Missy
15 January 2016 at 04:09 #50145My goodness, so much to read and too little time.
Please forgive me if this has already been covered and thrashed out.
I couldn’t come to grips with “three Claras?”
The Zygon “Clara” I get. Returning ‘the real Clara’ before opening the ‘boxes’ I get.
Who though, was the Clara who manipulated the Bazooka to bring down the Doctor’s plane and
was questioned by the Clara Zygon in her flat?
Is the Clara back with the Doctor, really Clara, or a Zygon?
Were the boxes really empty? We all know the Doctor lies. – I know you can’t answer that, merely a speculation on my part.
Loved Osgood, it was always my hope that she’d be his next companion.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
12 January 2016 at 08:31 #50087Great news – for me at any rate.
Doctor Who series 9 part 2 has arrived!!!!! I’m so excited.
Shall watch at least one (7) tonight.Missy
10 January 2016 at 02:37 #50060Good news, and not so good news!
The Abominable Bride is on its way! *Jumps up and down – carefully.*
A friend also wanted a copy for her birthday, so I altered my order to The Abominable Bride x 2.
The not so good news, is that lurking somewhere on my *wishlist* must have been another reference to it.
Consequently, 3 copies are on their way!!!!!
Can I sell it to any of you?
Yes, I know that I could return it to amazon but I went through that with Merlin ( three of the specials
wouldn’t work)a few months ago and it was hellish. Fortunately the chap in the PO knew what had to be done and
took care of it for me, but I’m not going through that again.
If not, I’ll just keep the spare as back-up. *grins*
Cheers,
Missy
7 January 2016 at 04:58 #50025My dear man, so did I. I had tears running down both sides of my face. Just couldn’t stop.

7 January 2016 at 04:56 #500246 January 2016 at 09:41 #50014I too am partial to Mycroft. He must be very lonely. All he has is his brilliant – although not quite as brilliant as he – brother Sherlock. Not much fun being a genius.
Missy
5 January 2016 at 09:35 #50004Just thought I’d share. My DVd of Doctor Who 9 part two – IS ON ITS WAY!!!
I’ve come over all unecessary!
Missy
5 January 2016 at 09:24 #500035 January 2016 at 09:20 #50002One wonders whether -if there is a Sherlock twin – if he/she has something very wrong mentally.
Perhaps she/he is in a ‘home.’
This would affect Sherlock in one way, as well as trying to be as clever as Mycroft the other.
This is what I love about Moffat and Gatiss, they are alwys leaving their audience with something to think about.
I noticed that Red Beard, made a brief appearance too.Cheers,
Missy
5 January 2016 at 09:12 #50001Me too. My sentiments are that if you don’t ‘get’ Moffat, don’t watch anything he writes.
cheers,
Missy
4 January 2016 at 04:15 #499824 January 2016 at 04:13 #49981Delighted that we agree on that score. Some of the members on another general forum I belong to, think that SM should go, he’s a ‘terrible’ writer – thst includes his cripts for Sherlock?
I suggested that they obviously weren’t on his ‘wavelength,’ so don’t watch.
Cheers,
Missy

Emperor
Blimey! That’s a relief! I couldn’t believe it – black page, people I didn’t know.
The most scary bit, was when I Googled us, some of your names were up there? Jannette was one and I think ichabod was another – for all to see?So glad to be back.
Cheers,
Missy
ps, What Jannette said.
2 January 2016 at 05:21 #49939How daft was that! Loved it, it was so silly.
I heard, on the grape vine like @bluesqueakpip, that the fans ‘panned’ it, because nobody knew what wasa going on.
The mystery is, were they really fans? Or were they right?
Watch this space, when I see it I’ll let you know – if I can ever find out where it’s on in OZ? It isn’t on TV and
was shown at one cinema at 8.30 this morning.
Missy
2 January 2016 at 03:53 #49937it’s simply amazing that SM kept this for five years – at least I think it is. You’d think he had enough to remember.
A very special special.
Missy
1 January 2016 at 09:37 #49897I have just finished watching, or should I say RE- watching – “Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead.”
Both of them brought a tear to my eye in past viewings, but after seeing “The Husbands of River Song” the episodes
made perfect sense.
I must admit to crying like a baby THIS time. SM must have written this ages ago and kept it for future use.
Just thought I’d share this with all of you.Missy
1 January 2016 at 04:16 #49891I WISH ALL MY WHOVIAN FRIENDS, A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.
MAY 2016 BE BOUNTIFUL AND OVERFLOWING WITH EXCITEMENT AND ANTICIPATION.REGARDS,
Missy
30 December 2015 at 07:56 #49860Damn! I daren’t read anymore, have noticed that Clara has been mentioned – spoilers.
Sadly,
Missy.
30 December 2015 at 07:55 #49859I feel like others, that River will back. It was such fun rmembering “The Library” where
River uses the screwdriver, informing the Doctor when he asked, that he’d given it to her.
Remembering the planet Darillium, where they’d spent their last night together, mentioned in one of the previous DT episodes.
I especially enjoyed, even though sad, the reference that River’s diary was running out of pages, and the Doctor allowing so many and no more.
There was much more, but I can’t think for now.
As I’ve prevously mentioned, by far my favourite scene, was when PC says: “Hello Sweetie.” I’m not ashamed to tell you all, that my eyes began to leak! Sigh.SM is a flippin’ genius!

Yay! you’ve watched it! So glad you liked it. I don’t think you’ve seen the other episodes yet though? So, better stay away from the other threads?
I admire your power and lack of temptation. You must be one of those people who if they go on a macrobiotic diet never deviate ever or if coffee must be given up, you’d do it and never ever be tempted!
Can I have your tenacity please? My reply:
Hello Sweetie! (I’m not flirting by the way.)
Indeed I have, three times now and love it even more. You are quite right, I haven’t as yet seen the last 6 episodes, and am waiting for Amazon to get its finger out. However, I feel that I must rectify something.
Yours truly, is among a certain breed of human who thrive on teasing itself – depending on the subject/object.
Although I suffered hell on earth not watching, I sustained the fasting by convincing myself that anticipation beats realisation and I COULD do this!Actually, I’m an idiot, a pudding head and deserve no praise whatsoever. (Ta anyway) I could in no way keep up a diet, could probably give up coffee (for a bit) but never tea. I need my cuppa. Tenacious I ain’t!
Still, it’s nice to be considered a heroine for once.
Cheers
Missy.
29 December 2015 at 07:58 #49804So many posts to read. I can only say that SM has done it yet again.
The scene that got to me the most, was after River ranted on about the Doctor not caring and not coming to her
aid, she looks at the man beside her – who has this (one can only say ) loving look on his face, as he says:
“Hello sweetie.”
What a punch line!
How SM is able to bring back little things that were said ages ago, and manages to tie up all the loose ends.
beats me.
Clever man.
Missy.
28 December 2015 at 09:04 #49760I has just occurred to me that you might wonder why I didn’t want any spoilers. Some of the members know.
I ordered Series 9 from Amazon, so didn’t watch the last 6 episodes, preferring to wait
until I get the DVD.
However, the Christmas special I could watch, as long as there were no references to Clara’s leaving the show.
Makes sense now doesn’t it.
Thanks again,
Missy
28 December 2015 at 08:50 #49759tardigrade
Thank you so much for the info. Now i can watch tonight – can’t wait.
Regards
Missy
28 December 2015 at 07:53 #49755So everyone, does the Doctor refer to Clara and what happened to her in any way?
‘
I am bursting to watch the special, but afraid of spoilers. There it sits in my recorder and there I am resisting it.
Cheers
Missy
23 December 2015 at 09:38 #49599puroandson
Never mind, as long as one of you is looking forward to the special.
AND, would you let me know please (because you will see it first) if there are any references to Clara’s departure or anything that happened in the last 6 episodes?
Ta muchly,
Missy
23 December 2015 at 04:58 #49592I had to laugh at your post.
Our daughter rang two days ago to tell me the same thing.
My husband answered the phone and replied – with what I took to be a smirk, he certainly looked shifty –
“Yes, not only does your mum know, she’s already ordered it from Amazon.”Cheers
Missy
22 December 2015 at 05:02 #49574Hello each.
First of all, I should like to wish all you loyal Whovians :
A VERY, VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY, HEALTHY, EXCITING NEW YEAR.
Right, now Ive ‘sucked up” would one or two of you good people (a bit more can’t hurt *grin*)
let me know after you have seen the Christmas special, whether any mention of Clara leaving why and how comes up?
PLEASE?All right, so I’m really weird, but as you know I haven’t watched the last 6 episodes of Series 9 yet, and although I will watch the special, I don’t want any spoilers.
I shall be most grateful.
Thank you,
Missy
