I actually watched this on Monday night, and then spent a while thinking how I could engage meaningfully with this episode. Then I come in and see so many of you have given it a thorough kicking, and I needn’t have worried. π And @whisht deserves a good star for that post. Marvellous!
And @bluesqueakpip is on the money here. I don’t mind made…[Read more]

Hi you! Happy new year. I did, yes. I couldn’t recall what they were called. I was thinking werewolves or forelocks π

Brilliant Mr P. I thought his reaction was split second. No way I could drop that fast & keep a hair do.Β π
I think the problem on the web -site were people asking for some happy time? Sometimes removal men who want to take all the furniture. I do not mind it myself. I think furniture is over-rated unless it is my bed.…[Read more]

Duh! Of course it’s a fucking gremlin. As old as WW2 but still alive and well in the Tsuranga belt.

Iβm not the only low-brow type to have noticed this little Freudian twist
True, but then, as the patient said to his psychiatrist after the latter started asking questions centred around his response to inkblot patterns; ‘What do you expect, if you insist on showing me all these feelthy pictures?’
‘ – who knows, there c…

The BBC has no advert breaks and is available to anyone with a UK IP address (I think).
So, you didn’t hear this from me but *cough* VPN. π
I don’t know about these things, honestly – I have Netflix and Amazon Prime for movies and TV shows and I have iPlayer as I’m in the UK.
But find a computer nerd who…[Read more]

The worst part was how they very specifically pushed the female agenda. This is sad because it feels artificial and pushy
You mean the advertisements were pushy? In Oz, at least, we have no ads (as yet) on ABC. This was up on site at the same time as UK viewers watched it and without ads is SO much better π
I’m in love with this…[Read more]

@rorysmith Free health care is available in many countries. I spent about eight weeks in hospital in Sweden two of which were in ICU and it did not cost me a krona. Australia has free health care though our moron government is doing their best to starve it out of existence. The problem here, as in many other Western countries is that the burden of…[Read more]

To be honest, Iβm ready for the Master to be gone for a long time. Iβve said this repeatedly but I want to see new twists and villains or even old ones we have yet to entertain in the new series.
Agreed- I think that as things stand, the Master/Missy, cybermen and Time Lords can all disappear for a season or more. The daleks are dou…[Read more]

I agree with Craig. I do hope she uses her natural accent. Whilst it might not be banned in the way it once was, we hear far too few accents on TV (or at least that’s how it seems to me living in London)

@wolfweed — well, if you live in PC world you’re never going to go short of a flashdrive, so I say it has a lot to recommend it.
@rorysmith and @drben — there is a definite point that old monsters can be re-used a bit too much. s10 had five of them this year and that could be considered a bit much — although I’d argue that all of them were…[Read more]

@premonition a new regeneration cycle was offered to the Master in The Five Doctors so it was already a known possibility.
The extra regenerations have been mentioned a few times with no number given, in fact I think in both Kill the Moon and Hell Bent it was said that the number wasn’t known.
Sorry, personal opinion but I think she…

@rorysmith @nerys It would be fun to see the Doctor regenerate and see her much more interested in her new hair colour than her changed gender, just based on comments from earlier Doctors. As long as that’s made clear that it’s not a preoccupation based on her new gender.
I really think itβs quite a small group whoβve had the inevitable kne…[Read more]

@rorysmith I loved the eyeliner moment, too! My favorite Missy/Master exchange was when they were asking the Doctor about all the different ways he’d died:
MISSY: Well, we thought we might chuck you off the roof, but I wasn’t sure how many regenerations you had left.
MASTER: Yeah, we could have been up and down the stairs all night.
