    Oh Fuck me you owe me a keyboard.

    You should tweet that flippin’ everywhere!

    @blenkinsopthebrave

    Absolutely! In fact, I be a tad envious [ahem] I didn’t put that up before.

    It’s his usual arpeggio & chordal treatment but one loves the …..it’s coming ….it’s coming…..chord 1  but not yet…not yet….pedal point it a bit more….& ……da. duuuuum.

    OK. I’m being very silly.  It’s terrific & I love it.

    Man! I didn’t see your reply. Despite the ‘tick’ I’m not getting notifications from the music thread. Possibly because, I’ve been naughty & not nice so yes, a tad of a trigger but also because you know, Thane really liked him & then really despised him. The memes on the internet are pretty funny unless you’re …him. This is like He Who…[Read more]

    So because of Dracula I thought of the Bernard score which @blenkinsopthebrave might like. Also because of the Quatermass Xperiment & Torture Garden.  Mmm, Torture Garden sounds like ….the name of a band…. 🙂

    It’s short but has all the right “ooh, scary! Terrifying moments!!!”

    Again, you see, I never said this. And others reading your response would assume I was ignorant of a political situation.

    Me:

    would it be politic to ensure everyone understands the consequences. DO busy folk read the pamphlets? Or do they listen to hyped up talk show hosts on their way to Boots? Are they Guardian readers? And…

    @blenkinsopthebrave  Me too!  @pedant

    I didn’t know that. I knew about Tony Blair when was in my primary school years . The reason not because we studied any politics but because Hugh Grant took on the PM role in Love Actually. Everyone kept saying the character reminded people of Tony Blair

    I didn’t know about slavery connected to politics l…[Read more]

    @pedant duly followed. Incredible. Spawn now has homework. He’s busy reading novels. But with a diet of NorthS***re & docos (the latter from me) he now needs MORE. An appetite for knowledge never to be fulfilled.

    The graphic seemed to indicate that Labour wasn’t followed because of Leadership but with Brexit, 2nd & further down.

    no, I didn’t make a mistake. I am fully aware of the electoral college having lived in the States for a while.

    It was an inversion. Inversions rarely happen. Even Rutherford Hayes lost the popular vote & the electoral college vote at the same time.  All the vote tallies, as aggregates, are frequently out of whack when elections…[Read more]

    Just from you point of view in the comments above, I was disconcerted as to the responses. I was also  interested in how people felt about Re/Brxt : it’s a complicated mess.

    If the message of the referendum is deliberately misleading, then legally, I suppose, one could find an alternate measure of more accurate reasons for…[Read more]

    Crikey, it’s way past my bedtime. But, in thinking of  immigrants & how different voters felt immigration to be a cacophony, with tolerance for only “some” but not “others” I’m reminded of Marcuse -at least I think it is: the law & order are everywhere the law & order which protect the established hierarchy.

    I would say voters were oppressed, if…[Read more]

    You were suggesting not all votes are equal because, by almost voting for the Lib Dems, which have anti-Brexit stance, you were attempting to unseat the unpleasant Labour candidate?

    Had you done so, even though you oppose Remain, it would appear to others as ‘mildly fickle’ or worse, ‘using’ your vote for a specific reason -to…[Read more]

    another qu I was too silly to ask, was “how was the referendum counted?”

    here, it’s the majority of people (nationwide) in a majority of states or a “double majority.” A triple majority is if  referendum affects people directly in a specific state & where a majority is also required.

    I DO hope you realise I was joking?   Regarding “Syd.”

    @whisht I had a whole post & it was eaten. By your PM, probably.

    But Syd? What did I ever do to you, huh? huh?

    I’m gonna give you one back. The longest Bon Jovi song I can find! Huh! That’ll do you!
