If I like what I am watching then I am usually drawn in until it is over, but if I don’t then I tend to be over critical and analytical. I can over look so much if I am entertained or I don’t notice things until later on when I read them here. I love to analysis as I watch/read though too much does ruin a text/ film but my majors were English and Drama the later mostly consisting of film studies so it has become second nature for me.
Although (as an engineer) there’s a part of my brain that keeps tabs on continuity and physical credibility, that’s not what decides whether I like an episode. If it’s well-written, with original…[Read more]

@Missy I had seen that series is in development but did not realise that Moffat was the writer. That explains the cast, which includes David Tennant, Dolly Wells and the other Dracula name which I have already forgotten. Now I am more interested.

Cheers

I can read horror fiction before bed. Obviously I’ve been doing it since my return to Stephen King. But there are times when I read something so unsettling that I find it difficult, if not impossible, to fall asleep. Usually it’s something that takes me unawares. The Caretaker is another of those that I watch when I need cheering up and most definitely should have been in my list. Sometimes it is episodes like these that work best because the “monster” is…[Read more]

@missy A very funny scene from a great episode. I like the Doctor making assumptions about Clara’s boyfriend because he looks a little like his previous self. The Doctor is wonderfully crusty in this episode, just the way I like him

Stay safe.
