@phaseshift I found @whohar “The DW forum has wit, warmth and wonder” hits the nail on the head. Over all the community makes it worthwhile. Well-manered discussions and respecting different opinions in the live and let live spirit are outstanding (if you consider the graun). Basically everybody has a good time with a topic young and old can relate to.

You should also ask @jimthefish  I am always reminded of the Doctor when I read his posts as he states often-used phrases of the Doctor (well calculated I presume).

What do you guys think about the change of the Doctor in the movie posters? He does not look so much like himself in TNOTD especially in comparison to CW.

I have a different (maybe more naive) view of RoA. He said “take it, take it all, baby” (if I remember correctly)
He shares them with the grandfather but must remain them. Otherwise Clara eg. might not be the impossible girl to him anymore (he would have forgotten). Remembering all those horrible things he has seen must have been a clearing experience. All those things he had on his shoulders with no one to share and finally being able to let go of them. He even cried. Maybe he made some peace with his past. That was my take on the episode and I was one of the few who really liked it (Had not found you guys yet. Most of you are not so fond of RoA, right?)  But memories are limited. possibilities are not. There are bezilionmilions.
@htpbdet That was no regeneration energy but grandfather reaching out. I am absolutely certain.

Also – saving someone from dying is no suicide. He changed form, but he did not die. He was alturistic.

@Shazzbot You have 😉 I stayed clean. I find it gets easier. Bit like everybody likes music you dont. But since you could not find anything spoiler-ish you should be fine. (I imagine you going *facepalm* watching the episode if there is something in there you just did not realize [funny picture])

@chickenelly @scaryb We are exactly doing what the article says. Bond togeter and protect ourselves from spoilers. There is even a lock-down on new members os we wont get spoilt. @lula (though without success) blocked tumblr content. I have read some answers on twitter in the style of “dont you dare say anything I want that extra video”

I would say it worked. AND non-whovians like that author are talking about our reactions and the reaction of the BBC (America)

Beside the point: I really think “mhm mirrors, clever girl” Is a nod in the direction of people like you guys =D stands out more in rewatch (somebody might have mentioned it before)

Mind you, I can’t quite imagine, say, the 2nd Doctor relating to River in quite the same way as the 11th…

I thought of a River that fused somewhat with the TARDIS OS – giving clues where he needs to be next.

BTW (This should be fine as we are in Spoilers) I read in the Radio Times that Matt recently said he is commited for the next year?  So that seems to be confirmed.

Why do you think it is likely to be River’s final appearance? She has seen more than two faces of the Doctor – that was clear from her outing with Tennant. She can pop up after Smith regenerates no problem.

I dont think she is going to solve anything here – that’s going to be Clara – but the presence of her grave makes it certain in my mind that she will not die!

Because I heard SM say a while ago that the story of River Song has been told. She might not die, but maybe have the same fate as Susan ?

@lula sorry it has been spoilt for you! Love the idea that it is some “burial ground” which would make sure no TL wants to set foot there.

I just had a crazy thought I hope is not correct. IF the theory that we see the TARDIS the first Doctor gets  from the eleventh ….. And River somehow is a projection in that TARDIS … Then she would see all his faces. And she would help him if she could. She would bring him where he needs to be. And she would be his wife again…. Sounds bonkers. But I like everything where River stays in the picture.

@lula we are on the same page with River. I refuse to believe that she is a projection. And I want/demand (! *stomps foot) a propper explanation. I have a feeling this might be the last episode starring River(the character). Though again – I hope not.

@Shazzbot Well then thank you very much for that, I assure you it is felt. Had english since I was 12 and I believe they start even earlier now. Aspire to reach native speaker level someday.  You dont need french as much as english so you are excused. What an advantage to not need to spend time on languages. (today I learned the phrase stiff upper lip – xD~)

As for the box: was it at least a pink TARDIS?

I agree with @lula about River. Episodes with her are so much more fun. (not sure if she said it here) Harder not to follow spoilers if she is involved.

How do you guys keep yourself from reaching out for spoilers? I mostly just try to forget I am interested. Works for me most of the time. I only remember long after everthing has been released. That tactic is in particular for books though.

Only TL’s can say the are born as they could easily go to their own birth (and support their mothers? – that would be an odd tradition xD) I however was born. Leaves me only with the conclusion that you tried to be kind to my inferior language skills which is much appreciated.  @craig would it be possible to stretch the timeframe for corrections on posts? Half  a day or a day? Most wont need it but it is always annoying if you find mistakes in hindsight.

@craig Like your open mind! (“if that’s what rocks their boat”) We need more people like that all over the world. A lot of them here though (which is nice)
I can understand it as far as – they have not grown up with it. And there are not so much TV-Series around where you have to proactively think about the plot. You are just in for the ride. DW is the first series in a long time, if not ever where I actually took notes (nevertheless because of the  influence of this place). The growing DW-community is joined by younger people [I would be really interested in y’alls ( 😉 ) age – stong opions sometimes seem to grow from age (has always been like that) – as the comments prove in “the graun” (why do you call it that?). they are not willing to adapt to new concepts. It is not as it was when they were a child. They forget that they are not what they were when they were a child (have I lost you?) ]. When I watch/read something I dont REALLY like I have no problem going on a spoiler-hunt. I want to know the end but I am not interested in the way they got there.
