CLARA: I hate boy bands.
LINDA: Of course you don’t, not at your age.
GRAN: These crackers are rubbish.
LINDA: I bought them.
GRAN: I know.
LINDA: They’re classy.
GRAN: They don’t have jokes.
LINDA: Exactly.
GRAN: They’ve got poems.
LINDA: They’re more dramatic crackers.
GRAN: I like the jokes.29 December 2013 at 20:02 #23615‘And there’s me arm-wrestling a Draconian. I remember that…’

29 December 2013 at 18:56 #23607Dear BBC – I must say I am outraged!
Why do you feel it’s okay to show the two main stars of this programme parading about nude for half of the show?
If I want that sort of thing, I’ll watch BBV’s ‘Zygon’…
It was pre-watershed, but my eyes were watering- I can tell you…
My family and I are all hologram-intolerant – nothing was left to the imagination.
Uncle choked on his Turkey!
Thank goodness it wasn’t on in Cinematic 3-D, that’s all I can say…..
Mary Whitehouse must be doing the proverbial…….

To read the story without those offensive visuals…. Here’s the transcript:
29 December 2013 at 17:03 #23602@scaryb The Drunk Giraffe instructions can found in The Brilliant Book of Dr Who 2011

The nakedness allowed the Dr to reveal that he was bald. (If you think about it though, by hiding the 2nd key under a wig, he wasn’t technically fully naked in Church, was he? Heresy!)

Handles was voiced by Fonejacker (RIP Handles!)
Funny to think that Clara has been abusing the TARDIS’s time travel capabilities for trivial matters.
Barnable Family motto = ‘Regard the Dead’
One last Drunk Giraffe
A Transdimensional Barn
The Silence Priests (very popular) – ‘Confess!’
Clara has a wicked Step-Mother
Tasha never mastered ‘Flying the Doctor…’

I wonder – Could this often ‘shipped’ couple’s relationship be the reason Smith’s Dr accidentally married Marilyn Monroe?
(‘Oh, sorry, dear – I thought you were a hairy-arsed Highlander…’)

Some great choices From Blake’s 7, Nightmare Man, The Stone Tape, The Flipside of Dominic Hyde – all quite Dr Who-y…
I also just thought of Dark Season (for the RTD connection).
Also RTD’s Casanova, but I can’t find that online for us all to watch.
What about SJA, or K9 & Co.?!?
Got to agree with FatManInABox about ‘Revenging Angel’ for Farscape (it’s available on dailymotion). I also like ‘Out of Their Minds’ mainly because of the (Dark Crystalesque) Halosians.
21 December 2013 at 12:22 #23198@phaseshift – One more show that sprang to mind (And is available on youtube) is The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
It has a strong Dr Who link in the form of Oolon Colluphid, the author whose book is seen in Destiny of the Daleks (& of course Douglas Adams, who script edited that story).

16 December 2013 at 13:24 #22890The Day of the Doctor features 3 Rabbit moments.
Firstly, we see a fearful young girl with her toy rabbit (So Gallifrey has rabbits?!?).
Secondly we see the Doctor mistake a real rabbit for a Zygon.
Thirdly, we see the girl with her toy rabbit again, only this time it’s bleeding stuffing profusely.

The rabbit is a symbol of fertility and rebirth…….
16 December 2013 at 12:53 #2288815 December 2013 at 20:26 #22857The question that must never be answered is ‘Dr Who?’. It is not ‘What is your name, Doctor?’, as this was already asked (& sort of answered). So the question yet to be asked must be ‘Who is the Doctor?’ as opposed to ‘What is his name?’
