• @all   Just saw JW chosen as next Doctor and it is about time.   So the 13th is female looking , so what? The Doctor is an alien and the regen process can be tricky sometimes not to mention  that a Timelord can choose the next face. She is still The Doctor with all the memories, skills and experiences of her past regenerations. I will be look…[Read more]

@missrori   Nothing could overshadow Peter Capaldis work on this show or his finale , his Doctor has been wonderful and mysterious and sad and brave and way too many more things to mention. I will miss the 12th.

@craig  Even here it would be almost impossible to avoid this news. Unless I turn off the TV the internet, and the radio, lock my doors and talk to no-one. That would be very lonely and I would miss my freinds here so I will be watching the BBC news on Sunday. It is cool with me.

@wolfweed and @craig    Wow and what! Do I watch? Do I hide my head in the sand till Christmas? Aaaghhhhh! As you can see I am very excited or is it nervous? I don’t know. Anyway thanks from a very excited/nervous Canadian Whovian.

By the way the little clip was pretty cool. 13!

@everyone I am on a unabashed Rose fan. There I said it! I liked her from the very first episode of AG and I was sad to see her character leave but was OK with her ending and her own Doctor. Now my 8 yr old granddaughter started watching with me and we started at the beginning with “Rose”  and she loves the show but she sees it as Rose’s…[Read more]

@arbutus   Happy summer to you!  Ontario has been very wet with some flooding but most has dried up now and after pulling out and replanting a lot of drowned veggies things in the garden are looking good. The fires in B.C. are terrible and I like many others are trying to help in any way they can and of course the Red Cross is the best place to st…[Read more]

    SPOILER, SPOILER, SPOILER...

  • @craig and @wolfweed  Thank you both for putting  these up, it has been awhile since I watched them. I thought it was pretty funny and I quite liked all the doctors that were on it. Also liked some of the lines about BG Who that still ring true now in AG, like the Doctor being tired of “endless gravel quarries” and  escapes “through ventilation sh…[Read more]

@thane15   You are always so good with the music, I read what you say and watch again and say “oh yeah” Thanks for that.

I am now wondering if Missy can feel that the Doctor is going to regenerate when she holds his hand on the roof and again on floor 507. Maybe knowing that he is dying is why she finally decided to stand with him. Or maybe she h…[Read more]

@everyone  I am wondering if Missy gave the Doctor her confession dial when she held his hand?

    HAPPY CANADA DAY!

  • winston replied to the topic On The Sofa (8)

@missrori @ichabod and @janetteb  I will admit the although I am Canadian I “hate watch” the American Fox news network when I need to let off steam and shout at the TV but I can only take about 10 mins. then I have to change the channel.

  • winston replied to the topic The Doctor Falls

I thought that episode was crazy good! There was a feeling like the Magnificent Seven of brave strangers come to help a village fight an evil force after their children.  Nardole the computer genius ,amoung other talents, shone as a hero from start to finish in this and he lives to fight another day. I will really miss him.

Bill also gets to be…[Read more]

  • winston replied to the topic World Enough and Time

@blenkinsopthebrave   I like your bonkers idea about time going back and the Doctor using this to save Bill. I know that it can’t happen but I have to say (tongue in cheek ) that I watch a show about a man who travels through time in a blue box, a Time Lord who doesn’t die but regenerates to an entirely different person, he has been known to t…[Read more]

So I just watched again and I have to say that it was an excellent episode with great stuff from all the cast. Still liked the comedy at the start and I think it was in such sharp contrast to what was to come next that we were even more shocked. ‘ What! he shot Bill!”

And then there is Missy who cannot understand why the Doctor likes humans or…[Read more]

@thane15  Not too many spoilers for me either so I had some great shocks and surprises.

By the way , how about the return of the Master’s beard? Is that the classic evil genius beard or what?

  • winston replied to the topic World Enough and Time

That was a thrill ride for me from start to finish! The Doctor regenerating but fighting it,what! Then Missy and her assistants and some very funny lines and great banter. Oh that Missy, Doctor Who indeed. I was shocked when  the blue man  shot Bill leaving a gaping hole that you could see through. Great special effects.

I get sucked into the T…[Read more]

Hi all ! I am a little late but I watched and I liked!  This was a fun history episode with Romans (very modern in their attitudes) and Picts (girl power)  and standing stones ,what more do you need? The guest cast was great as usual and I had no problem with their young ages because I think  people grew up and became “adults” a lot younger tha…[Read more]
