Alright, I just got back from the theater and I didn’t cry. I thought I would for sure but I didn’t. This was such a funny episode but there was a bittersweet tone through it. I’m not sure what to say besides that. I loved seeing all the characters for how they interacted with each other and because it was nice to see them again. It was just nice and a little fun to see it all play out. I laughed, felt sad and worried when a big piece of the Tardis broke and our new doctor fell with it. I know she’s within 14 hours of her regeneration cycle but I don’t know if that matters when you hit the ground after falling hundreds of feet. Since I can’t really put this episode in words I’ll just talk about the most important part for me, Peter leaving. It was bittersweet. I words alone were beautiful and captured who The Doctor is. Once again, I can’t praise Peter enough. His acting just makes The Doctor and seeing that come together for his leaving was incredible. I guess the leaving is why I didn’t cry, I knew that my doctor would always push himself to do what he needs to do and that’s why I love this doctor so much. But I didn’t think about how seeing him behaving like my doctor would affect me. I can’t be sad when he acts like the character I grew to love. Than Jodie made her appearance and we didn’t get to see much of her before she was thrown out of her Tardis and we were left with a cliffhanger. But in the short time we saw here she seemed very lovely and her reaching for the Tardis controls, she seemed very relaxed and confident. Her doctor seemed comfortable, possibly because the 12th doctor didn’t regenerate before saying goodbye to all his companions, seeing a reason to live on through others being kind and saying his message forever who he would become. I didn’t want a female doctor for a long time but I can’t look at Jodie and be upset. She seems like The Doctor to me. The only part of this that makes me sad is that my doctor left, but I already like this new doctor and I’m not nervous about her like I was with the others. I’m still sad but I’m happy too and I can’t wait to see how that cliffhanger will be resolved. Now it seems only right to end this post wishing Peter good luck for what ever is ahead of him and thanking him for the past couple of years and wishing Jodie a wonderful time as out favorite Timelord, I hope to see her episodes very soon.

    @missy

I’ve been saying that twelfth quote for weeks now, trying to cheer myself up. Thank you for that *smiles*.

Unfortunately, I don’t think The Doctor will ever learn about Missy siding with him, it’s such a shame.

Your going to be posting your thoughts before me. I’m going to watch it on the 27th. My friends and I are going to see it at the theater and we all had to promise not to watch it before than. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts though. Best of luck.

I don’t want him to go, I don’t want him to go, I don’t want him to go! The time as flown by, I can’t believe it. I wish Peter can have one more season, just one more. The only downside to that is it would be harder to see him leave afterwards. When Peter first became The Doctor I wasn’t just nervous, I was scared of him. I heard all the rumors that his doctor was going to be darker and to me that meant he wasn’t able to be a hero. I thought he wasn’t going to behave like The Doctor. Than Deep Breath aired, and while I wanted to watch the next episode before I planned my thoughts about this new doctor (because regeneration always makes The Doctor act differently), it was easy to spot that he was still just as crazy and caring as all the others. He was disappointed that he brought the dinosaur to a time where it could get hurt and he was crazy enough to attempt climbing out a window. It was also clear that like the other doctors, you shouldn’t let him get bored or he’ll do what ever comes to mind. I love that in The Doctor. In this case, he writes on the floor and walls. It’s good that he got a chalkboard later on. I was sill unsure of him when Into the Dalek aired, but I was agreeing with what The Doctor had to say, laughing at his less than polite behavior and listing off theories about what could happen next. I was able to sit down, watch an adventure and act like nothing has happen although I still wanted to watch more before I claimed my thoughts about this new doctor. However, I did notice that he wasn’t darker, he was still himself he just had a slightly different approach to things in a few episodes. Than somewhere down the line he became my favorite. I noticed that he was still The Doctor and more and more episodes came out. The more episodes aired, the more this doctor embody everything The Doctor should be in my point of view. I especially love the philosophy that came with Peter’s doctor. The Doctor’s philosophy doesn’t change much through the show, every life is important, you shouldn’t just let time pass by because everything can be gone in a second, but Peter’s doctor was thrown into the most terrible situations The Doctor has ever had to face. And we got to see the struggle between The Doctor living by his philosophy and trying to remain his sanity (Hell Bent is a good example of this). Also I just love the smaller moments of this, such as him wanting to lose just once in Heaven Sent but knowing that he couldn’t, he kept pushing himself to win for billions of years. Also his more logical and rational thinking was always fun to see, such as him retreating to his mind in Heaven Sent, where he says always plan you are going to live, never plan on dying or else you don’t see all possibilities on living. All those moments just made up The Doctor to me. Now I can’t believe I used to be scared of him. Peter brought so much to the role in terms of character and his wonderful acting made every scene perfect to me. I am so sad to see him go, but on the bright side there’s going to be one more story with him. I can’t wait to see it but I know I’m going to sad. I don’t want him to go!

Alright, I was finally able to finish the tenth season. I’ve been sick the past few days so I just watched the whole season in one day. It was incredible. I think I can explain my reaction to this episode in one sentence.

I was crying throughout the episode.

I can’t believe I cried, this was such a perfect episode. World Enough and Time was a great set up for everything that happen in this episode but this is the real gem of the season. I love every scene and what happens to all the characters. I feel that this season showed the best moments between The Doctor and Missy and we can really see why they were friends before. Missy’s death was sad, well written and performed fantastically. Bill’s story was also wonderful to watch play out. I’m glad she and Nardole got a happy ending. I’m also happy that there was a mention of jelly-babies before Peter left, I was hoping for that. But my favorite scenes are always with The Doctor, and I can’t give Peter enough credit for his acting. I love (this whole post is just me saying I love everything) his “just be kind” speech, the mention of “without hope, without witness, without reward” line from earlier was well placed and the battle between The Doctor and the Cybermen was sad to watch. It was wonderfully written and performed, I can’t praise it enough.

However, I think this episode proves that out of all the Doctors, the 12th doctor is the most broken. I think he has been thrown into the worst situations The Doctor has ever face and to him he never wins. In this episode alone, his childhood friend walks away from him and he never gets to know that she was siding with him. His companion is turned into a metal creature and he was powerless to help her. I know some people think that he doesn’t want to regenerate because he wants to die and maybe this proves that, I don’t know. I think he knows that after 2,000 years, everything that has happen to him has shaped him into a hero everyone needs, and he doesn’t want to forget that person and start anew again. That’s just how I see it and maybe I only see it that way because he’s my favorite doctor and I don’t want him to go but I think that The Doctor can’t become more broken beyond this point and his new face and personality are going to be relief to him. Maybe he even chose this up coming face just like he did with his current one, to be a reminder, to influence him.

I haven’t even mention the setting of this episode, I love the idea of a farm inside a spaceship and the affect gravity has on time was such an interesting factor. The blue tones used near the ending in the episode were beautiful and were perfect for the tone of the episode. For some reason the forest reminds me of the setting used for the trailer that revealed the 13th doctor. All the settings in this episode and World Enough and Time looked incredible and were fascinating to see.

Well, I can’t wait for doctor number 13 but it’s going to be sad saying goodbye to number 12. I’m going to miss Peter as The Doctor but I think this new actor will be just fine (I’m not mentioning the actors name just so this can’t be labeled as a spoiler).

@janetteb Thanks for the comment. The only role I’ve seen Jodie play is her character in Broadchurch and I think you’re right. It wasn’t a very doctor like role but I do think she is a “fine actor” like you said so I’m sure she can play more than one type of character. I haven’t thought of her courage of taking on the role, you make a good point. I always thought that the idea of playing The Doctor or companion would be such a joy that if you have the chance you would just shout “Yes!” with a big smile. After seeing Jodie in some interviews I’m sure she did just that but you would have to be brave in some form to take on a role when you know some people might not like you for it. I didn’t know that Chibnell wrote Pond Life. That’s good to know, I like Pond Life. I also forgot about the large “team Tardis” (that is such a catching name, “team Tardis”, I like it) in Dinosaurs on a Spaceship. I need to re-watch some of Matt’s episodes. It did work very well in that episode and can’t wait (I’m going to be saying “can’t wait…” a lot) to see how three companions will play off of each other again. I can’t say anything about Vicky because I haven’t seen her yet, but I do like how Susan, Ian and Barbara worked together in their stories. “Team Tardis” in Dinosaurs on a Spaceship had members that were only their for one episode and with a bigger Team Tardis for a whole season, I think the characters can go into great depth than before. This also makes me think about companions like River and Captain Jack, who would show up every once in a while. I know characters in Doctor Who can always return but these companions returned regularly, so I wonder if there will be another companion like that, or will we have enough with the new Team Tardis. I guess we won’t have another companion like that again for some time. I’m ranting again, I need a companion like Clara who isn’t afraid to slap me when I do that. Well, I’m going to miss the Moffat years too although I agree he was “wearing thin”. I’m sure he is happy to have a little more life back and I will try to watch what ever he writes next. I doubt that I’ll love this new season as much as I loved Moffat and Peter Capaldi’s years but you never know. That’s just so great, we never know.

Thanks @missy, first let me say that I’m glad your going to at least watch the first two episodes to see if you like them and at one point, I stopped watching Doctor Who after I gave the 10th Doctor a chance so I completely understand why you might stop watching. Also, I understand the concern about political correctness influencing the casting and how we over compensate on these matters now of days. That was why I didn’t want a female doctor, I didn’t want people to feel that the doctor had to be female to over compensate for the lack of female doctors before. And for my answer on why the doctor had to be female, well, I think in the ideal version of this is that the doctor didn’t have to be female. I think that we all love The Doctor and when he regenerates, we’re nerves because we don’t know how the actor is going to betray him, not because his face changes. Faces change, we get older, we get wrinkles and at the end we all look different than what we did at the beginning. That’s life, so naturally when it happens to The Doctor, we still tune in and watch the adventures because that makes him no different from the rest of us. And I think that’s why some people are upset a lot, because in the past the casting of a doctor was just that, the casting of a doctor and finding the best actor for the job. Now it appears to be more than that, it looks like we’re looking for a face but we want the right actor for the job. I guess that’s my answer, a understanding of why everyone has their own thoughts about this topic. But it can be said that maybe the casting wasn’t influence by a face and maybe this person was correct for the role, she just has a face that can spark an issue. Well, I hope this answers your question and if not, than I hope you find someone else can answer your question, but it is nice to talk to you about this. I like talking to people with different thoughts, however I’m a little confuse about the last part of your post to me. Do you think I’m new to the blog, because I actually greeted you when you first joined.

Hi @ichabod nice to talk to you again. I can see why the new head writer makes you more worried than Jodie does. This is going to be easy for me, I love Moffat’s work very mush but I do believe he has over stayed his welcome. While I wouldn’t change anything in his time in charged, I love the idea of someone new coming onto the show and I’m a big fan of Chibnall’s work. I’m sure everyone knows by now that I’m a huge Torchwood fan and I also like Broadchurch so I can’t wait to see what he brings to the show. I just think that change is going to be good. For me, when I start to pick up on how a writers script works, everything becomes to easy to figure out. That’s why I watch the show, it’s a challenge to understand what’s going on and how to solve the problem at hand before an episode expires. After watching so manner seasons with Moffat in charge, I began seeing the ending of episodes to soon for it to be a challenge so I can’t wait to get that thrill back again where I don’t know what’s happening. That’s going to be fun. But I understand that you might not like Chibnall’s writing as much as Moffat’s writing, but I hope you enjoy it in the new up coming season. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it when we see that first episode. Also, I agree with you that this is a new start for the show and that it needs to go in a different direction from Moffat’s time. I think when a new headwriter comes onto the show, they need to chuck everything the previous headwriter did out the window and start a new. When RTD brought back the show, he had to make some changes and make it his own. Than when Moffat came he made a new, got a new doctor and a new companion. He brought the show in a new direction. Now it’s time for Chibnall to do the same. Well, I hope he does the show justice, I’m sure he will. For me, what I’ve seen is reminding me of classic who. The Doctor with three companions reminds me of the first Tardis team when the show first began and just what The Doctor is wearing reminds me of the first few doctor’s. My family members heard me going on rants about all the New Who doctors wearing earth tones before we saw what Jodie will be wearing. I talked for hours, saying that she should wear more bright colors like Classic Who doctors but still have a little black in the clothing design, so she’ll still be a New Who doctor. When I saw that outfit, she just reminded me of Tom Baker and had a few elements of other doctors. So, everything we have seen, I feel, has work before so why can’t it work again. However, I’m sure there are going to be brand new elements brought over to the show. I think we have nothing to feel nervous about. I hope you feel the same after seeing this new headwriters Doctor Who work.

Hello @janetteb , I just want to say that you’re right about Doctor Who always tackling issues of all sorts. This can be seen as another case of that. Classic Who did talk about issues that people had many different thoughts about at the time and now it doesn’t seem like it because times change, just like the 11th Doctor said. In a few years time, this can be seen as another case of one of those topics that will not appear like one in the future.

Well, I have put about an hour and a half into this reply, so I need to wrap everything up. Let me sum everything up by saying that if I saw Peter Capaldi right now, I would run up to him, give him a big hug (although I admire that his doctor doesn’t like hugs) and say “Please don’t leave.”, but I’m up for the change. I’m wanting to go on this journey no matter what. After leaving the show for some time, I would never do it again no matter what happens this season. I hope if anyone stops watching, that it is the right choice for them and they won’t regret it later. Now I’ll give a cheer for the new season, the new doctor, the new headwriter and everything we will be leaving behind. Talk to everyone later.

@pocket-timelady7 Hi Julie, I just have to say that I agree with you on the new up coming doctor. For the first time since I started watching Doctor Who, I’m not worry about the new doctor, I’m sure she will be great. And I agree with you that the actor can’t be hold responsible and can be limited by things out of their control, such as writing. I can’t wait to see number 13th but I have to mention that for a long time I was against a female doctor. I always said if one came along I would give her a chance (I’ve learn my lesson after I stop watching when number nine left) but I didn’t care for the idea. This was because I saw the whole situation just being based on gender. I wanted the doctor to remain a male because I didn’t want gender to become what people focused on. When I heard people wanting a female doctor, it just seemed like I thought “Why does the doctor HAVE to be female, what’s wrong with being a male.” Than when Jodie was announce I heard a lot of people mentioning a male companion to go along with her, and all I could think was “Why does the companion HAVE to be male, there’s nothing wrong with being female.” I think I just didn’t want the gender of anyone to be affected because of the gender of others, whether that be the doctors that came before or who the doctor was going to become. It was actually Clara that changed my mind, when she pretended to be called The Doctor in The Flatline. It was than that I realized that this can be more than just gender, and The Doctor can be a girl and go on the same adventures as before without people just thinking of her as a girl. Oh, I miss Clara and now I’m going to miss Bill. I’m not caught up on season 10, I couldn’t find the episodes online on a good site, but I’ve fallen in love with Bill and I wish she (and the twelfth doctor) had one more season. However, I was really scared when Peter became The Doctor and now he’s my favorite, and I’m going to be crying on Christmas. But I’m still not worry about Jodie, I can’t wait to see her and see what the new head-writer brings to the show. It was great to read your post and I hope you understand where I was coming from with my thoughts about a female doctor.

Hi everyone, it’s nice to be talking on this blog again. I haven’t really said anything of much importance lately. I don’t know why but for some reason I just kept making less and less time to type here. I feel awful for that because I really do enjoy talking to everyone and typing out my thoughts. The reason I’m typing on this thread is because Torchwood has returned for a 5th season. I don’t know if this has been mention here yet but there is a new set of radio plays being released. It’s being called the 5th season because it takes place after Miracle Day. I didn’t hear about this till this week so I missed parts one and two being released but part three will come out in February, 2018. Again, it’s nice to really talk to everyone again.

@janetteb I agree with you janetteB. Moffat isn’t going to make a Christmas episode sad. I think we can all trust Moffat on this. Of course there are going to be sad moments but there wouldn’t be a story if weren’t any sad moments. But Christmas episodes are happy and we can count on it again this year.

@ichabod It’s nice to know I’m not the only one with the jitters. It was wonderful to watch Oxygen and get to the darker side of this season. While the other episodes this season were fine, there was just a feeling that they were going to be left behind very quickly and the season wouldn’t pick up until we saw something that will carry on throughout other episodes. Oxygen was that start and there was no wait till the last two episodes for it. Oxygen felt more surreal and, I feel awful saying (typing) this, but I love that The Doctor is blind because this can be developed over the course of the season and won’t be played like a fun adventure we’ll never return to. I can’t wait to see how The Doctor and the other characters adapted to this. My only fear is that this is proof that the 12th Doctor will be leaving soon. Peter and all the writers have made this doctor my favorite and I don’t want to see him go. Unfortunately, the more we see the development of this season and The Doctor, the closer we are losing him. I hope he stays around for season 11.

I didn’t think of the Pandorica when I saw the vault, that’s a good comparison. I don’t know why number 13 would be in the vault but you’re right, it’s neat to consider.

After the latest episode, we got a preview of the new companion, Bill. From what we heard, she as a plain life and will soon be going on crazy adventures, just like the rest (this isn’t a bad thing). She says she serves chips, this reminds me of Rose posing as a cafeteria worker even though Rose was undercover. I hope The Doctor doesn’t take on the role of a teacher again, seeing that twice with The Tenth Doctor but we’ll see what will happen. It can be a great story. I think Bill will have a great start but we will have to wait and see.

Happy Holidays (three days late), I hope everyone had a great and festive season.

Now to talk about the episode. This was a great episode to start the season. As always, a Christmas episode was made to be more cheerful and wasn’t surrounding a scientific story line. It revolved around the humor and the characters. Peter’s doctor was more cheerful for the holidays and didn’t slam the TARDIS door in the face of a child. But he still had a great moment of pressing buttons to nearly crash a spaceship, sure to kill thousands if the plan didn’t work and our (super) hero kept his promise. I like my bitter doctor but he was still in character, great job to the writers and Peter for this. However, I hope he’ll be a darker hero for the rest of the season, even though he’ll have good people by his side. I’m sure the rest of the episodes this season will be great as well after a years wait.

I watch a great movie today that Neil Degrasse Tyson couldn’t find a plot whole in (well, maybe one). The movie is titled The Martian and out of five stars, I would give it five stars. Matt Damon’s performance was perfect in every way. There were great lines and brilliant humor. I won’t give anything away but the movie really made you real as if you were on Mars. The story line grabs a hold of you and you won’t be able to leave your seat. The science and math in the movie is very realistic and I encourage anybody who enjoys science fiction and doesn’t enjoy plot wholes to watch this movie.

@superfreak Welcome to the forum. I have to say that I agree that this is the best season so far. It was dark, inspiring, and beautiful. The season was carried out by great actors playing the roles of doctor and companion. The writing has evolved to a better state and allow the story form and character development to change in a positive way. The stories were more emotional and brought out great moments and lines. I couldn’t move after seeing Clara die in Face The Raven. The 12th Doctor has become The Doctor with his own personality. I hope season ten is just as good or greater.

While I did like the personality of The 9th Doctor, I didn’t care for what the episode did to Rose. Rose was turning into a shop girl changing her life just to have her turn into a emotional mess and nearly ending the life of every human. I do like Rose as a companion but I can never watch that episode again without thinking about how I started to resent her, but Chistopher makes the episode great to watch.

This was a great episode. The ending really showed that The Doctor is moving on. The Doctor has gain a new sonic screwdriver, proving that he is still The Doctor, however I really like the sonic shades and I’m sad too see them go but this is the best looking sonic screwdriver. Bringing Clara back was wonderful and the writers didn’t undo the power of her death. Clara returning was great for The Doctor and Clara fans to move on. Now that The Doctor can’t really remember Clara, a new companion can come onto the show without The Doctor moping. It was fun to see the restaurant that Amy, Rory and River were once in. I’m sure that after the final episode of this season (the Christmas episode) a new chapter will be reveal in the next season.

This was another great episode of the best season yet. The story was wonderful and very emotional when you think about all the time The Doctor spent entering the same place to hit his way through too his home planet. The music and lighting pulled this episode together and add the cold feel of the setting. Seeing into The Doctors mind was great for the story (similar to seeing into Sherlock’s mind). Seeing Clara in The Doctors mind was good for this episode and I’m glad that The 12th Doctor isn’t sad and moping, instead he’s angry. The Doctors anger has made it fine for a dead companion too still be part of the show but I don’t want Clara to be over staying in death.

Why did Clara have to die? Her death was sad, and I will not get over her death but, if a companion has to die I want them to die saving lives. She was brave and those who don’t care for Clara have to admire the reasons why she died and how she reacted. This was a great episode and was really emotional. I wish Clara didn’t need to die but we can all see that she was willing to leave that way and maybe she wanted to. I couldn’t see her leaving any other way, she couldn’t leave walking away from helping people. This was the saddest episode of the show, nothing can lead to more crying.

I really like this episode. There were funny moments brought out by a darker Doctor. It was great to see the Earth cover with plants and how humans would react to the plants. It was also great to see the kids send a message to the world and it was wonderful to see the great scene were the earth is saved by the plants when the solar flare came. I love the idea of the creatures talking through May. I wonder if May still hears the little creatures however, she might not if the solar flare is gone and if her sister is back home.

This was a great second part to a wonderful story. Clara was very brilliant and was very smart. She was able to put the pieces together very quickly and very well. The Doctor and Osgood made a very good team and Osgood was just as quick as Clara. Peter has proven himself to be a fantastic actor, being emotion into his wonderfully wrote speech. Peter Harness and Moffat wrote the greats speech I have heard in a while, even better than one of Matt Smiths speeches, even though he brought emotion into his speeches as well. Jenna has also proven to be a great actor, or actress. She played a strict evil alien and a companion very well. Season nine really is the best season.

Hi guys, this post is going to be about my favorite cartoon however, this cartoon has offended a lot of people, so I’m highly worry about typing this post. I will not say anything that can be considered offensive, this post is just about my thoughts on this cartoons latest season and where the show can be going from here. I promise, nothing offensive is in this post however, if some one is offended by me talking about this show, feel free to delete this post and I will not type about this show any more.

The show I am talking about is South Park (again, nothing offensive, just talking about the changes the show is going though). I have to say that season 19 is my favorite season so far. The show started bringing in one story into the full season in season 18. However, season 18 was rusty at doing this, even though it was a good start. Season 19 is changing all of this. Season 19 has brought one great story into the season, making it full of laughs. There are a lot of great episodes coming from the new story format of containing one big story. All the episodes have been lay out perfectly. The town of South Park has also gone through some changes. The town has been adding in buildings that are bringing in new characters that add to the great story line and the buildings and stores have also been brought in due to the main story and have been adding to the story very well. This season has been planned out very well and the episodes still have room to add in anything to the episode that has happen in the last week, something South Park is known for. These changes should stay with the show and I think they will. I’m sure that this seasons story will continue in the next season, bringing out the best side of South Parks changes. I would say more but I don’t want to say any spoilers. Again, I hope that no one was offended.

@millymac I really enjoy Peter Capaldi as The Doctor. Peter has always been a wonderful actor and The Doctor was the right role for him. He brings out a side to The Doctor were he will break the rules of time to do the right thing. His Doctor appears to be darker but, really it’s the same nice man, just in a darker form.

@nerys @purofilion nerys, that was a wonderful speech about all The Doctors. I agree with you both about how fantastic the 9th Doctor was. I also agree about how it took awhile for the writers to find out The 10th Doctor personality. After I watched Matts first episode again, I saw that Matt did have a great start. He had to be after coming in after Tennant. Matts doctor was really great at giving speeches do to Matt being a great actor. purofilion, I didn’t think that Matts “I am talking” speech suffered. nerys, I have to disagree with you about Clara being a weak character at first. I think she was wonderful from the start and I think that she was a better companion for The 11th Doctor than Amy (Amy is still a great companion, I just think Clara is better). All The Doctors bring a new life to the show.

The Woman Who Lived is a great second part to a great beginning. Catherine was a great writer for Doctor Who. She wrote Maisies character very well, along with other great character. I would be more than happy if Catherine could write another episode for Doctor Who. Maisie played two completely different characters very well. The story line was really good. The climax wasn’t the best however, this episode wasn’t really about aliens. It was about The Doctor and how he changes peoples life. Maisies character was a really brilliant character for The Doctor to meet. The story between these characters was very well written and very emotional. The scene where The Doctor is talking to Ashildr was a great ending to the excitement. The conversation also contains some great Torchwood references. When The Doctor mention Jack I almost cry. The Doctor never forgets, a great line for when he is talking to a woman who will rip out her memories. The picture at the end was a great ending for Ashildr however, she will never leave. This episode is full of great acting, wonderful writing and a heart warming lesson for Ashildr to learn.

Most modern music today, I don’t like. Some of it is fine but I really love music from the 80’s and 90’s. I prefer bands such as Dio and Iron Maiden. Classic rock and heavy medal are the best. However, I do listen to anything that John Barrowman sings.

@millymac Hello and welcome to the site. We all hope that you enjoy your stay. I just wanted to share my thoughts on a new companion. I picture the next companion as being just a friend, traveling with The Doctor for only one season. After that she just walks away from The Doctor. I think she should be a scientist (maybe even a 1800’s scientist) who is willing to learn and is open minded but, she can’t be perfect and can’t always agree with The Doctor. I don’t see her loving The Doctor like Rose or being in any relationship. I want her to make The Doctor happy so much, that he forgets about her leaving and just remembers the good times.

@roskowe The 11th Doctor was right about her being bossy but that’s because she likes to take over the fate of her life and have a say in what The Doctor does. That’s why he has a companion, so they can bring out the best of him. Clara does that well. However all the companions are bossy, Clara is just bossy in a different way, that is what makes her a great character. As for Clara being bananas for relationships, I don’t think she is crazy about them but, if she does find love than she is honest to herself about her feelings. Clara is a great companion and her flaws can bring out the best of her.

Tooth and Claw is my favorite season two episode. By bringing a dark atmosphere into a episode, it brought out Doctor Whos dark side. The mood and setting worked fantastic together. Adding a mythical creature into a time where people believed in such monsters made this episode more grounded.

The Parting of Ways was a great season finally for the first season. It gave us a unexpected cliffhanger. It showed the power of the TARDIS. It also showed how Rose changed from a shop girl to a companion worthy of the tittle. Rose never gave up when it came to The Doctor. She was in a safe zone, nothing would have happen to her if she stayed home. Billie Piper gave the fans a great speech about how you say no and don’t let days wonder by. Rose showed strength opening the heart of the TARDIS when knowing that it is great power that no human should have, but Rose was able to use the power to come back and be a hero. All fans can watch this episode and think back to when Doctor Who return to our homes.

@purofilion @craig Well, at first I didn’t know that I cared for The Doctor. I just saw myself as a companion and try to find out what was happening before The Doctor, which some times I did. Than I saw Eccleston leave. I was in shock. My friend, who was the person who showed me the show, was already at the door trying to leave. I asked what happen and she said ” he’s a timelord, he can regenerate”. Than she left the room. Now when ever we talk about the 9th Doctor I bring up the time that she left traumatize in my living room after losing my Doctor. That’s when I learned that Eccleston was a great Doctor and I wish he didn’t need to leave so soon.

I liked Rose but see also had some problems. I didn’t care for her trying to save her farther and putting the whole world in danger. Rose had problems but if a character does something right than I will say so. My favorite Rose moment was when she left in Doomsday, not because she left but how she left. She was willing to fight with death and lose so others wouldn’t have to. She was saved though and Billie gave us a tearful moment when she was beating on the wall, crying and losing her best friend, the one Rose loved. Even though I didn’t care for Rose saving her dad or loving The Doctor, she was still the one that brought us New Who and turned into a great companion thanks to The Doctor.
