@blenkinsopthebrave Oh yes, those fans in ‘Sherlock’ theorising over the Reichenbach fall were a hoot. (Just double-checked it was RTD who wrote this episode, I do hope Moff was suitably grateful for the ‘Blink’ reference)

The BBC is a waste of money! Doctor Who fans should complain about as many programmes they produce as possible! Doctor Who pays for itself with all its merchandise. The BBC continued to receive this money during the 1990-2004 gap years. There’s no problem financing Doctor Who at all! A lot of the money from Disney+ w…[Read more]

We have limited knowledge of The Valeyard incarnation… basically he’s incarnation 12+
We have limited knowledge of The Master’s incarnations because Who Narrative follows The Doctor’s timeline. So:

@devilishrobby Susan as Anita’s boss, I like that. Overall, the thought that keeps buzzing around in my head is, is the Reality War really over? I was so perturbed by the Doc and Belinda’s behaviour around Poppy and Ruby, oblivious to the latter’s discomfort, massively unrealistic about the whole notion of taking a baby on their travels, and…[Read more]

@devilishrobby I think you’re onto something with Anita’s boss (is it Anita at the Time hotel?) and The Meep’s boss being 2 different people? Anita’s is benevolent whilst The Meep’s not, I assume. I really hoped the Boss angle would be sorted by now! I thought it would be Omega.
Is there a Christmas special? Or is it all some years away now….

Returning, in a marking break, to chew over a couple of things regarding some of Ncuti’s Doctor’s characteristics.
I liked this more emotional Doctor, but I wanted his weeping to be addressed as having some meaning, seeing as he cried in almost every episode, beyond – eh, this incarnation is just more emotional.
On the other hand, I have not…[Read more]

@devilishrobby Agree with you on hoping Ncuti would only give up a bit of regen energy but I think in real life he’s an an actor going places (hope so) and probably only signed up for a short time. I loved him as the Doctor, felt like a very fresh take on the character.
@juniperfish Agree with you (and I think @WhoHar and others made the point…[Read more]

Yet more American interference in British institutions! First it was Trump and Musk, now it’s The Onion. How dare they!

please tell me that this article is not serious
If in doubt, google The Onion 😉
I proposed that it might be time to set up a kind of Writers Room rather than leaving the creative decisions entirely with one show runner
I can see your point, and I know that this method has produced many highly successful American shows,…[Read more]

Hallooo everyone. An exciting but short series!
Love the theories and the characters within the the rich Blodeuwedd tale. @whisht A shout out to a QLD minimalist composer, Peter Gundry and his Blodeuwedd fantasy composition (available on YouTube).

Remembrance: The Hand that killed Skaro was definitely Omega’s… though I admit I’ve made a similar mistake in the past. And there were crypto Mosleyites in the early 60’s Britain. 2 stories later, in Silver Nemesis, a statue of living metal no less, made by both Mr O’Mega and Razzy Lon (who may or may not also be Rog Williamso…[Read more] -

If it is another old Who callback, and one of the Guardians, I’d be a bit surprised. But…
1. I’ve been wrong before, pretty much everytime actually.
2. I’d reckon she would be the Black Guardian, given her previous statement about “bringing terror”.
What is interesting is that she’s been the neighbour of both of Doc…[Read more]

An enjoyable ep. A bit trippy and very meta at times. I liked the joke about Mr Ring a ding not having emotions as he was a two dimensional character
24th May is the airing of the penultimate episode.
I also had the same thought about the regen scene.
And, yes, I was also confused by how the Doc saw the…[Read more]

It’s all hearsay atm, and there may be more innocent explanations. As you point out, the Tardis is often rebooted when there is a new Doctor. If this is the case, then the next casting is going to be very interesting.
I’m pretty neutral on another regen, as I am not sold on Gatwa as the Doc. Dunno why, just some actors…[Read more]

Nice linking of Romana there. I know there’s a lot of talk re Mrs Flood, but I’m hoping she’s a new character (or Omega!), rather than an old favourite. And, as @blenkinsopthebrave alluded to, she really needs a bit more agency – the 4th wall breaking monologue is looking somewhat old now.

bigeneration… hmmm. Why? Make sure you have Tennant on tap if the crits turn nasty?
Past evidence? Seriously, for all RTD’s bluster, there’s nothing to be seen except for… 2. We never actually saw him become 3. He whirled about a bit saying ‘oh no’ and ‘my giddy aunt’, then… six months later… Pertwee just falls out of the Tardis.…[Read more]
