TBH I am so ready to get some answers! I think we all know that her story will deeply
effect next season and probably have as part of the story arc the Doctor’s recovery over her. It’ll be weird but also I feel like it’s time for a new and fresh direction change IMHO.
19 November 2015 at 20:03 #47300Well it seems that here we are now on the last pages of the Clara story. So I just felt like
saying thank you Clara for being the Doctors companion. Now the opportunity presents itself
for the Doctors story to move on. Maybe you’ll come back for a future visit like River or
Osgood. You were a great story that explored so many themes. A great teacher too and I will
remember your lessons about super powers and trying to make a soufflé.I’ll miss you Claradox but the adventure continues!
19 November 2015 at 00:40 #47258It was basically a lot of philosophical reflection however if the Mods think
differently then do please make it a spoiler.18 November 2015 at 20:51 #47255nice interview about next season.
18 November 2015 at 20:43 #47254Apparently it is Steven Moffett’s birthday today. He shares it with Margaret Atwood.
18 November 2015 at 02:59 #47226This version has a teeny tiny wxtra bit or 2
18 November 2015 at 02:50 #47224http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/interview-sarah-dollard-on-face-the-raven-78100.htm
mice interview came out todayBeen thinking that we are going to continue to anguish over this Clara situation
till the very last episode, don’t think she dies. But also think that when she
says ‘Let me be brave’ in the trailer it maybe because she goes off to try and be
the Doctor? If he is required elsewhere then she may go off trying to be him? Maybe?18 November 2015 at 01:36 #47221Both. In terms of what Clara brings to his perspective as well as the possible
option of the little alien gifts and talents she has been picking up throughout
her tenure as his companion. So maybe giving him new tools to be a better and/or
more efficient Doctor? She also has always been part of his reflecting on things
sometimes making him look in a mirror and/or has been his confessor.
On the other hand can there also be an inherently evil Patronus? Mo idea?17 November 2015 at 21:02 #47212I like it! I have actually wondered for a while when if ever this might be
a possibility. They gave Missy a daughter too. So Who nose?17 November 2015 at 20:55 #47210My hunch is that Rigby is being used as bait to get Clara and the Doctor into this
‘Trap’ street. I keep looking at Ashildr’s new look. She reminds me of the old
film noir flicks of the forties. Maybe Mrs. Danvers from Rebecca? A great Hitchcock
classic. The swirling tattoos on her look like snakes.17 November 2015 at 20:38 #47208Yeah it has a nice symmetry to my mind too! So we are at a darker end of the street where
the Raven hangs out as opposed to the Owls. Birds representing massive mythologies.I’d actually love to see Clara morph into the Doctors ‘Patronus’. She would be his guardian
of deep affinity. They are usually an animal in Harry Potter. I wonder what the Patronus for
the Doctor might look like?17 November 2015 at 05:00 #47170@purofilion
I try not to chose favorites and I agree with you its one great long road trip.
There are episodes that are good for me and others that are greater. So I’ll
admit to being hooked into the series by Tom Doc. He had that joyfulness in his
portrayal of being the Doctor for me. I started to feel that again from the new Doctors
of this series reset. Sleep No more was in the goodish category. I don’t generally
favor stories that are as spooky as this 1 was. Its my sensitive nature you see ;).
Will be rubbing at my eyes all week now. But it did leave the open mystery at the end
which I did like. Like the Doctor I don’t like endings unless they are not really the end.Now already started thinking ahead to the Raven next week and got lots of notions spinning
around my mind on that.17 November 2015 at 03:11 #47166@soundworld
There is a very strange component to all the signals/plugging in thru this
series. It feels like Clara is being prepared to be submitted/recruited
like an undercover agent to some purpose which might happen soon. So did Missy
chose to give Clara to the Doctor on purpose as his apprentice/trainee?@purofilion
Think you are right! Saw the 1 with the flag on the other group of shots.
I try to find that again.17 November 2015 at 02:39 #47164Pictures for the next episode. I saw snakes on the street flag and a 2 faced alien in 2 pictures
including 1 where she/he is leaning possibly unconscious on the staircase.I’ve seen something that looks like that 2 faced alien before but I cant recollect where it was.
16 November 2015 at 22:19 #47142Missy’s Matrix was also another variation on a consciousness and Cybermen
are basically altered brain mechanical creatures. The difference is that
this season its all about Clara who keeps ‘plugging in’ over and over.16 November 2015 at 22:12 #47139@soundworld
We also can add Clara hooked up to the Dalek casing and the Mire Helmet had
special tech hooking into their heads. That makes every episode with variations
on this concept.16 November 2015 at 20:55 #47133@iusedtobethedoctorrs99 @kharis
If the stories are going backwards then the ‘longest month of my life’ may of
been a month of Clara being held inside the Morphius? Probably not because….
Well, I just wonder when we get to those last episodes we all come to find out that
this is the case? They seem like they are trying to be a bit experimental in a few ways
this season. The fact that the opening episodes feel a little like it could also be a
series ending is interesting. Some here on the forum put that into my head a while back.I need to start having a much better memory so I can tag people! ugh!
16 November 2015 at 02:44 #47042Been going over the episode list and I got a few more eye references.
hand mines, the ghosts in Lake/Flood didn’t have eyes, the Doctor
noticed that Bonnie the Zygon was winking at him and his sonic sub glasses
Last season we had some eye stuff too.But what does it mean????
16 November 2015 at 02:28 #47039@Supermumarary @countscarlioni
Not really spoilery The Doctor knows there is something wrong. He’s not fooled
16 November 2015 at 01:52 #47036@Purofilion It all implies a mega hybrid but is it Clara or is that
maybe a misdirection?16 November 2015 at 01:30 #47033So I notices like @Whilst that Clara was again trapped inside of a containment
and actually there was a pod in the Lake/flood episodes too. Also the thing about the
eyes. In the Lake/Flood episodes the people that saw the writing became infected.
All sorts of attacks on bodies and minds this season.
Oozy Daleks, A drink made from people for the Mire, ghostly images of people, and people
being copied by Zygons. I’m just wondering about this season being just full of this sort
of stuff and if this suggests in any way what we are going into?15 November 2015 at 20:32 #47019I kept thinking that the dust was very Vasta Nerada-ish. I was ok about this one but I’m
more psyched up for the next episodes. Last season was some what more light hearted in its
tone and this season has felt darker for me with more villains of very dubious morals. My SO said they forgot to bring their Swiffer dusters. That broke the fear aspect for me. 🙂
14 November 2015 at 04:09 #46900For the River fans. I still have to figure out where the little girl fits
in. Its either the little girl or maybe Clara then Melody? Not sure how that
works yet.14 November 2015 at 03:50 #46898apologies I pasted the wrong thing in the previous post.
If you can think of reasons that this cant work please
post your thoughts!14 November 2015 at 03:40 #46897So I’ve been thinking now about the mental link that River said she had with Clara.
I went back to watch that again. It was striking that the Doctor also said to River that
he always sees her. Just like Clara. I got stuck on that for a while. Naturally I had
to surf around to look for any more connections.https://www.facebook.com/ClaraWho/?fref=photo
I like this theory. Check out the leaf connection at the very beginning.
I think that this theory implies that the baby Melody became Clara. Then the Doctor
wipes his memory of doing this to protect her which is why she was such a mystery to him.
So does this mean River is Clara and can Clara regenerate? Maybe to protect
Clara/Melody/River he did something to make her human? To keep her hidden. Does this
mean Clara will at the end of her run regenerate back into the Melody form or some
other new woman in between? Eventually she must be Melody again and grow up with
her real Mom and Dad (Amy and Rory). Then she becomes River. We did see a scene (cant
recall which episode) where she was a little girl in an alley regenerating.I cant recall if anyone has already said all of this before on this forum. My memory has
apparently been wiped. 🙂 If someone has said all this please come forward cause
I would really like to have a word with you!BTW it sort of makes sense to me in an upside down sideways sort of way that Clara
would have dreamt of so many alternative lives if she indeed had so many alternative
lives.@kharis ‘Souffles are served in a Charlotte dish’ like that! There may be a CAL
connection as well mixed up in this possibly very very long story.13 November 2015 at 03:16 #46858I’ve been thinking about all the times that Clara has had a dream scene over the
various seasons and there have been many. So I made a little list of the ones I can
recall. As Puro has reminded me “like the Doctor once you get Clara in your head
she stays there 😉Asylum of the Daleks – dreamed up an alternative life inside a Dalek
Name of the Doctor – sleeps to join in a conference call and gets mentally linked to River
Last Xmas – with the face huggers dreaming up an alternative life again
Dark Water – dream patches that manipulate her visions
The Zygon Inversion – inside the pod mentally linked up to BonnieMay have missed 1 not sure. SM likes to do dream scenes with Clara always using alien technologies.
Sometimes clues are hidden in dreams so I thought to do the list and see if I could detect
some substance here. Clara is never really herself in most of these dream states and yet
dreams are usually situations being controlled by our subconscious.
So far the only thing that occurred to me is that maybe Clara’s end might be some controlled
dream state and a loop since Clara did start out as a woman living a whole life out in a dream.12 November 2015 at 23:35 #46849I have a hunch that some might like to see this 🙂
12 November 2015 at 23:27 #46848@purofilion @janetteb
Some more Flo for you from some years back. This was my
first time seeing her. She has a interesting voice.12 November 2015 at 02:21 #46822http://vk.com/video-29166271_171396398
should be a bbcAmerica trailer for next episode
(fingers crossed it pasted)
12 November 2015 at 02:10 #46821@countscarlioni @purofilion
Guys that is a real American-ish style diner not a set. Its located in Cardiff.
Obviously tidied up for the show 🙂12 November 2015 at 01:38 #46819Wednesdays seem to have turned into the big ‘release the new teasers’ day this season.
I like them but in a way they make it worse! I have to say though this is as good and
sophisticated a fairy tale as there ever has been!If we are to believe that the hybrid is definitely a mix of Time Lord and Dalek I can
only say that I’m reminded of Missy saying in the end of ‘Witches Familiar’ when she
was trapped by Daleks that she “just had a brilliant idea”.
So I got to wonder cause she’s not gone yet.The D. Who magazine cover is all shades of blue and red again. I’m guessing red is for
Gallifrey and blue is Earth and also the apron Clara wears looks like it has ET eyes?11 November 2015 at 06:05 #46774Also, could be why he saved Ashildr? She died from having something attached
to her head like Clara did and he couldn’t bear seeing so much a reminder of
something so similar to Clara. That would make sense why Clara doesn’t get the immortality
chip, its too late for her. Then he says he left Ashildr the second chip cause she
might find someone she cant bare to be without. That fits too because the Doctor was
obviously thinking of Himself with Clara.
Any thoughts?11 November 2015 at 05:34 #46771How about if Clara is dead then it happened in ‘Last Christmas’? The Doctor didn’t
save her in time from the face hugger. He said something about getting
a second chance in the last scene. So he gave himself and Clara a second chance
to spend more time together but she is still lying in bed dying of old age?
Still think he created a duplicate of her or shall I say a hybrid? Which is why
he called himself Dr. Funkenstein. That would be a bookend which SM might go with.
But I could change my mind again cause I’ve been thinking something different every
week 🙂 Love the puzzles!!
Could be why nothing much has a lasting effect on her and she is also losing touch.
Maybe her aging body cant keep a proper connection with her duplicate anymore.11 November 2015 at 01:29 #46764http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/The_Partying_of_the_Ways_(comic_story)
This is a comic that came out last spring. I wondered if this can be
factored into the Claradox? Maybe we are dealing with another duplicate
Clara Ganger in these episodes? The Doctor makes an interesting comment.
After the fakes leave the Doctor tells Clara that he’s making the most of
his mistake. This hit a nerve when I read it. Did the Doctor re-create
his Clara and is that why he called himself ‘Dr Funkinstein’?10 November 2015 at 20:27 #46734I just wondered if anyone in England or Scotland wanted to start a petition to elect Capaldi
as your Foreign Minister for a few years when he retires from Doctor Who. I feel he could make
the transition in careers for a few years. He’s clever, well informed and has charisma. He
also is the Doctor.Just saying….
9 November 2015 at 22:37 #46688Yes, Could the ‘Great Intelligence’ be a threat to the Doctor thru this new regeneration set?
Doubtful I agree. So is there a time limit on Claricles? Probably. This Claradox
has to either end or evolve. Doesn’t feel like Clara will get some heroic end like previous
companions. So maybe the hybrid idea was about Clara being able to evolve and continue to exist?
For now I think we are being set up for a sad betrayal. But this Doctor will still always be all
about mercy, even for Clara he will find a way.
I know some people think she might still die saving the Doctor. Some little things tell me it will
not be going down that way. It will be some other shocker.9 November 2015 at 20:14 #46676Hope all is well with you! Yes I agree but I think that this Doctor is about showing
Mercy. the 9th was the warrior the 10th was the one that regrets the 11th was the one
that forgets and the 12th is the one that shows mercy and forgives. Did that with Davros
too.9 November 2015 at 19:11 #46673The only way I see Missy being part of the Claradox is if she was helping the Time lords.
I wonder if the bargain was to help create a Hybrid weapon for them in return for her
freedom? Do we know if Missy is cast in any upcoming episodes?9 November 2015 at 19:02 #46671I agree with @frobisher that a Claricle came out of the time stream now.
@nerys I believe Missy chose Clara for her own scheme but might not be an actual part
of the Claradox. @drben The end scene in the Tardis where the Doctor could
barely look at her meant to me that he saw a glimpse of a bad Clara,( the enemy inside
his friend )in Bonnie and was extremely disturbed and is resolved to fix this.I’ve been thinking that the confession dial has to do with Clara? Maybe he has recorded
her story in it?9 November 2015 at 04:45 #46641@purofilion
I think your right about there not being any prime Clara. That would be why she
survived the time stream? I remember the 11th looking at the time string theory
book and that it had to be about the Claradox. But I still think she is morphing into
something new which is going to be like a bad nightmare. The Doctors creation
has been compromised. Everything that was normal about her has changed.I also remember River being shocked when \she first saw Clara but for only a moment.
So I bet she does know something about Clara because she also said they were mentally linked.
But I wonder if Clara also shares a mental link with the Doctor? I think so because
she was in his time stream. So does that mean its like the Zygons. They are mentally
linked and 1 will be more powerful and able to control the other?@ozitenor That would be excellent if it can be done!
9 November 2015 at 03:05 #46633@purofilion
I can imagine that the Doctor will have to find a solution to Clara. That’s what
he does. He’s the ultimate problem solver. It might be his plan to add a new addition
to the Library family.I think the Doctor realizes that he needs to defuse what Clara becomes to keep peace in
the Universe. So maybe he is the creator of this entire ‘Claradox’ afterall.9 November 2015 at 02:50 #46630Yes the Library! Also reminded me a lot of Asylum of the Daleks when Oswin spoke
thru the Dalek eye piece and also in Magicians Apprentice same thing. Both are SM stories.
Reuses these devices a lot. I can see his influence in this Zygon story too by familiar
devices. Also when the Doctor said something to the effect of letting Clara
into your head was similar to when he said he ‘always sees her’ in Magicians Apprentice.9 November 2015 at 01:51 #46625I was thinking that something else came thru the crack when the Time Lords gave
the Doctor his new regenerations. That something is lurking in Clara. In the
Spoilers section I put my bonkerist theory but basically saying that Clara has been morphing
into something new since then. A little bit of Doctor, Dalek, Zygon etc. Possibly a
new adversary? A Nightmare child or an abomination (like what is mentioned in the
next episode)? A mega-hybrid. Maybe a Time lord weapon to use as a protection for when
they return? Possibly Clara becomes the anti-Clara? Is that what will be Clara’s fate?
SM did say it will have serious shock appeal.
What does flying into the jaws of the Nightmare child mean? Sounds ominous. I think
we can all assume letting Clara into your head means she will break both his beartsThe last thing the Doctor says to Clara in the Tardis is to remind her that ‘I will be
the judge of time” because he has figured out that Clara is this prophesy, the warrior greater
then any, but also an abomination and/or a nightmare. He’s letting her know he gets now
that she is the enemy inside the friend. I think River may have known this when she first
met Clara. She is returning at the pivotal end point of Clara’s story arc in the same way she
returned in ‘Demons Run’ at the pivotal moment. Its probably written in her Doctor diary.8 November 2015 at 20:27 #46607I saw in the trailer for this next episode that the Doctor mentions an ‘abomination’.
I wonder if that can be a clue about an anti-Clara?8 November 2015 at 19:45 #46606In the upcoming episode ‘Heaven Sent” I was wondering if it could refer to something
the Time lords sent into Clara thru the crack when they sent the new regenerations
to the Doctor? She has been morphing into new Clara since that happened or ever since
‘Deep Breath”.
Also, keep thinking there is a clue between “Death in Heaven’ and
‘Heaven Sent’. Maybe there is something about the Matrix (aka ‘heaven’) that
the Doctor (who is supposed to be in this episode alone) has an idea to visit.
Why? Well if he goes into the Matrix maybe there a way he thinks he might be able to
access some connection with the Time Lords to get an explanation about Clara? Maybe
there is some way to have a communications link thru it since it is their technology?
So is Clara becoming the Time lords new hybrid weapon. That would mean the time Lords
are making a choice to use the Davros strategy as he did in creating the hybrid know as the Daleks.
Maybe its a weapon to hold the peace so they can come back? But I think that’s what might
be happening to Clara, She is taking on all sorts of stuff from all kinds of alien species.
Lots of little gifts. Dalek, Zygon even bits of the Doctor. A new kind of monster that may be
able to look like anything like a Zygon can. A new 2.0 type version of the Valeyard? A new
‘adversary’ to the Doctor. That would really be an interesting shock – the word SM used.
The anti-Clara?8 November 2015 at 17:33 #46603Plus the fact that the Doctor hardly glanced at Clara in the Tardis and didn’t
want to make her part of his conversation with Osgood. Then the Doctor said
“I let Clara inside my head and trust me she doesn’t leave”. That felt to me
like a very foreboding comment. Also, @ardaraith good catch on
Clara setting the Tardis controls at the end. I cant tell why but I keep
getting hit with the notion that confession dial might possibly having something
to do with all of this too.8 November 2015 at 17:11 #46602Something is lurking inside of Clara. If she can manage to message the Doctor on
the cell phone thru Bonnie that has to imply to me that Clara has access to a
beyond human ability. This is something she’s displayed many times previously and
I think this was another example. What part did Clara actually play in trying to
change Bonnie’s mind while they were both in the Black Archive. I imagine she was
capable of doing a lot more since we have Osgoods example of displaying great
influence over her double. But that didn’t happen as far as I can tell. She didn’t
seem to make any attempt to try be any positive influence inside Bonnie’s mind.
Of course we didn’t see the first 14 attempts to resolve the problem. However, Clara
only tried to influence Bonnie to get out of the pod and not to resolve the issue of
a Zygon takeover.8 November 2015 at 04:24 #46568Very interesting. The Doctor again manages to pull off an everybody lives happily
ever after except for maybe Clara? I suppose having to negotiate with Bonnie who is
in so many ways Clara’s alter ego must have felt aggravating for him. I do like the
way Jenna played Bonnie but I can’t imagine that the Doctor did. Maybe that was the aggravation
he was letting go of with Clara in the Tardis? Well done Doctor speech that
cane from his guts. But I have to admit that my favorite bit was the exchange between Clara
and Bonnie in the ‘dream’ connection. I guess the idea that the Doctor was trying to save
humans from knowing about Zygons blending in with us says a lot about us and all the problems
we have with differences. So that was a sad message but still all the same it was a clever
idea with how they used the 2 boxes. If he had to wipe everyone’s memories 14 times and that included Clara then I wonder what
we didn’t get to see about that in the first 14 tries?-

7 November 2015 at 05:16 #46479So we have ‘run you clever boy and remember me’. Then we have Davros suddenly having new
memories about the Doctor and sends him a message thru snake man. The writing on the alien
spacecraft in Under the Lake implants a message inside of people’s minds. Ahildr has issues
with memories and writes journals (messages to herself). Zygons shape shift but also implant
minds. Add to that the cd of Rasilon has a message from the Doctor. Clara has a lot of relevant
information about the Doctor. He has told her all sorts of memories. This can lead to a catastrophe
for him. He has to realize that this is problematic and may also be afraid that she might be able
to free Galifrey with these memories. Dark Bonnie is a major threat because she can access Clara’s
memories. The Doctor will need to shut Bonnie down because he can be compromised by her. Then there
is this theme of good and evil. So will the Doctor will be forced to do something to Clara to
protect himself from what she knows especially if she goes to the dark side. So what can he do?
Maybe create a hybrid of Clara to protect the universe from his ‘friend’? At the end of The Woman
Who Lived he asks Clara ‘who are you?” Clara says ‘I’m not going anywhere’ but I think the Doctor was
thinking “oh aren’t you?” It could be the shock coming. That the Doctor has been planning to ‘hack’
Clara in some way for some time. Its what he has to do before she abuses his trust and his secrets.7 November 2015 at 00:16 #46456!@Everyone Just been messaged that the IFC channel if you get that is showing
all the episodes of this current season in sequence tonight. It gave me a reason
to put the tv on. The Magicians Apprentice just started. Just saying….BTW, I humbly suggest catching the Bears fishing for Salmon at Katmai Nat’l park
in Alaska on Explore.org or YT! Its that time of year again to see that. I drop in
from time to time and watch them eating and fighting over fish and the cubs and so on.
Love how live cams can bring that world to all of us. If you like that then
the Monterey Bay Aquarium also has live cams and the Jellyfish are interesting. 🙂
Its not for everyone but I particularly like it when I have to do other stuff which is
pretty much all the time. -
