Ohhh my, its been too long!!!!
Waves at everyone 😀
Well listening to good old Radio 4 this morning and nearly crashed when I heard the name of the MI5/MI6 operation to eavesdrop on people through their TV’S……. yes Operation Weeping Angel!!!!!
17 October 2016 at 21:37 #54261Peeps around corner…..
Hello everyone, managed to log back on sneaking through the bot attacks (miniature internet Daleks???)
Hopefully will have more time to peruse and make comments somewhat regularly
Hugs to all of you
23 January 2016 at 09:00 #50350Hi All
Didn’t watch Broadchurch, but have enjoyed his Who and Torchwood work, 336 days to wait 🙁
Maybe the Beeb will re-run PC’s seasons to keep us all happy?!?!?!?!
May have to join @blenkinsopthebrave in the cellar 😉
26 December 2015 at 14:21 #49697Fantastic
River literally married ‘a diamond geezer’
More thoughts later
21 December 2015 at 20:55 #49562Agreed and downloaded
21 December 2015 at 09:46 #49556@puroandson and @bluesqueakpip
Perhaps the dwama teacher was hoping for the role to grow, branch out from the main trunk of the exercise, as the pupils twigged what was expected they could ( or should that be wood) prevent any performance from copse-ing
Just like to apologise but couldn’t leaf that opportunity pass
😉
7 December 2015 at 19:16 #48998With Clara now a hole in the Doctor’s memory it becomes even less bonkers to hypothesise that the now invisible Clara wrote on the chalkboard in Listen, maybe, possibly, oh ok still bonkers
7 December 2015 at 15:50 #48985Also during Rasillon’s visit to the barn he stated…..
How many regenerations did we give you, I’ve got all day
Strongly suggesting a more than just another full set
7 December 2015 at 15:33 #48982Rassilon Resurected sort of fulfills the prophesy too….
The Resurected bit implying he’s a hybrid
He definitely stood in the ruins of Gallifrey (the Timelords having been reduced to living in a pocket universe, hated as much as the Daleks and now hiding or is that teetering on the outer rim of the universe)
How many hearts did the Time War destroy ( a billion billion is 10 to power of 18, interesting set of numbers that wiki it peeps and even if the Doctor took 4.5 billion years he would have to punch that diamond wall 111,111,111.8 times a second to destroy that many hearts)
And then he nearly destroys the universe by ensuring the Master’s and Missy’s sanity is corrupted totally by the sound of drums.
Anyway @puroandson many people struggle with Who as our lives are so linear time wise we are always like Me living the long way round that to play with time is to redefine our whole existance, thus, totally understandably , don’t get it.
Also we now have the absolute perfection of dropping into conversation
Clara and Me are off to vist the Ice Warriors of Mars soon
Or
The Doctor and Me are popping off to the Library to extract River from her death
It will annoy grammar teachers and those poor souls who are not Who geeks
6 December 2015 at 07:14 #48789Morning All (plus Afternoon/Evening depending upon relevant time-zone)
The wraiths were guardians of the Matrix and the odd monster was transformed into a guard-dog (a guard-dog looks scary and intimidates but is under the control of the handler ie The Matrix). The monsters were in the under cloister to try and steal the Matrix. All stated in the episode as I hadn’t watched a trailer.
If you want the ultimate hybridisation then get Clara and Ashildr to welcome Jenny, the Doctors daughter, to their Tardis gang (be wonderful is Ashildr’s name morphed to Alice…… as…. You Can Get Any Thing You Want At Alice’s Restaurant)
I found the concept of the duo-hybrid perfectly acceptable. Absolutely foreshadowed by our own prophet(s) as @puroandson o:-)
The Doctor does need to forget Clara for future plot continuity. She jumped into his time-stream, past and future to frustrate the GI, who just as obviously will have been pushing the Doctor towards failure at each point too another never ending Time War in a Tardis…. So War Doctor on Gallifrey, exiles Rassilon causes chaos, uses a gun all equals GI upper hand in making naughtyness. Then Clara appears, the War/12 hybrid Doctor knows he needs her to become ‘The Doctor’ once more and combat the ever present but usually controlled Oncoming Storm/Predator. Clara once again saves the Doctor but both know that (and so do we if we actually think about it) Clara and the Claracles have to remain hints and nudges and stories to carry on working throughout the rest of time. This is orthodox theory (most unusual for me but……. Clara form The Name of the Doctor
“I don’t know where I am. It’s like I’m breaking into a million pieces and there’s only one thing I remember. I have to save the Doctor. He always looks different.
But I always know it’s him. Sometimes I think I’m everywhere at once, running every second just to find him.
Just to save him.
But he never hears me.
Almost never. I blew into this world on a leaf.
I’m still blowing. I don’t think I’ll ever land. I’m Clara Oswald. I’m the Impossible Girl. I was born to save the Doctor.”No that was a prophesy fulfilled
and forgot…. two things (some things)
One we are all hybrids internally each always struggling with our own inner good and bad sides
War Doctor/Oncoming-Storm/Predator v Doctor
GI v Clara(s)
The struggle to do the right thing in life is never ending
5 December 2015 at 21:38 #48727Ok got it so so so wrong…..
There is always the next series, laws of averages, may help.
Perhaps we’re all hybrids bar those who believe in their own purity? And they’re hybrids too just refuse to acknowledge it.
5 December 2015 at 17:58 #48708Today has been a long way around, started to write a post then….. a trip to take my beloved to the emergency dentist (abscess) then we made 286 mince pies and now shortly before the end of the series, after numerous cups of coffee a bit of bonkerising….. (interspersed with randomness which I hope will one day in a galaxy far far awa…… nope wrong universe)
Listen, Chalkboard, Long way round, Ouroboros or in Ashildr’s time Jormungandr and Thor, Mire battlefield kit, Last will and testament, Master/Missy acolytes and Lucy Saxon, Asylum of the Daleks:- Amy, Clara and Doctor 11, Tasha Lem. Fear
See??? No well Listen
Clara tells the Doctor to Listen four time in quick succession in “Face the Raven”
“Listen” had the chalkboard which wrote mysteriously (not if that episode was partly in his mind palace though) then Clara used through the Doctor in “Heaven Sent” Clara is in his mind palace literally “In 12” Room Twelve the Tardis console for the Twelfth Docotor ?
“Don’t run Stay with me” To stay with the Doctor is to run.
Ashildr still has the Mire battlefield medical kit, perhaps given to Clara?
The never ending circle in Norse mythology fights an almighty battle with Thor, poisoning the oceans and the skies and dies, Thor walks away but dies after taking nine steps (9 our first New Doctor)
Ashildr/Me has taken the long way round and was older/smarter than 12 but now the Doctor has taken an even longer way round and hopefully learnt from that journey (by learnt I mean remembered or grown)
The last will and testament has been in Missy’s control but as the Doctors document he would want the truth out there (maybe) and thus he devised the Sea Fortress to make himself face the truth of his life ( yeah I know earlier I posited it was Missy but this way I’ve covered my bets!!!)
Missy is totally a hybrid too the bringing back in “The End of Time” making the Master a hybrid of the Acolytes and Lucy Saxon
In Äsylum of the Daleks” Clara is a hybrid, so too Amy and the Doctor (no wristbands to protect them)
In “The Name of the Doctor” Clara becomes a hybrid with both the Timelords and the Tardis
In “The Time of the Doctor”Tasha Lem reverts from being a Dalek Puppet to herself so also becoming a hybrid
And… we have Jenny the Doctors daughter too.
Also in Dan Martin piece about links between Clara and Orson …. Dan remember we don’t see Clara’s and the Doctors relationship played out fully (Amy getting older and needing reading glasses) plus also a Claricle could have been the great great grandmother of Orson too
You know what… You’re all fantastic 😀
30 November 2015 at 13:55 #48311Each cycle was a repeat of the last, so where did the spare clothes come from ( different jackets remember [me])
Trap Street to trapped. The Timelords or maybe a specific Timelord called Missy who was trapped on Gallifrey and definitely a hybrid. Missy also had her sticky little mits on the Doctors Last Confession earlier in the series, so could easily have set up the inquisition.
Perhaps Missy got her extra regenerations for services to Galifrey by getting the Doctor to return?
29 November 2015 at 17:30 #48214Well I pop out for a wander in the mud, get stuck there for 3 weeks with no tinternet and no telly-o-vision and what happens????
Genius happens, wipes sleep form eyes, counts steps and checks flies still moving
Firstly I see we have our own hybrid @puroandson (I expect someone has already done that … apologies but I’ve only read the last 3 pages here)
Well the Veil chased the Doctor into the yard several billion times, running from becoming the Valeyard?
Clara (Claricle/Hybrid Clara) still with him (I’m in 12 ???)
Harry Potter resonated through the episode Diagon Alley where (Mini-)Me was holed up and Azkaban as the fortress
Clara (they always run from the Raven) not running, being exceptionally brave and willingly taking on the tatoo, she took on the sins of trap street, her final plae/order to the Doctor not to become once more the War-Doctor or the Valeyard. She died, publicly, for them all. (She may not of course be dead but that would be a great ending too as long as she keeps a very low profile after resurrection).
Keep up the fantastic bonkerising off for more coffee
25 October 2015 at 10:45 #45438Just popping onto the sofa to say haven’t seen this week’s episode due to my Mum’s 81st birthday party and working away all next week before going to Wyntercon in Eastbourne next Saturday…… So lack of me making contact/comments is just due to trying to avoid learning what’s happened I’m not sulking 🙂
Keep up the great bonkerising all 😀
22 October 2015 at 21:14 #45312As an aside, this article about the the other guy in the Tommie Smith/John Carlos picture is fascinating and more than a little heartbreaking (of particular interest to the Aussie contingent).
I refused an invite to tour SA in the 80’s and amusingly (term used lightly) a SA player subsequently ended my sporting career (always love to see the Boks loose lol). After not going I was never asked to train in the upper echelons again either.
Nothing but admiration for Tommie Smith
22 October 2015 at 09:16 #45294Morning All
Especially @bluesqueakpip for post #45268 and @missy for #45289 and (as I’m feeling ultra inclusive today @EveryoneElseWhoPostsHere )
Well I’d quote the relevent bits but tablet and mud and not enough coffee plus a few other random poor excuses but the gist of this is…….
Clara is the hybrid daughter of the Tardis post Trenzalore and because it’s the Tardis before it too (now I’m positive someone will point out that they posted this 4 years ago but these two posts mentioned above made my brain go just like Clunks in Catch The Pidgeon)
ps saw Silurians, Cybermice and an Ice Warrior down at the bottom of Wookey Hole last night on my way back to digs from the pub 😉
20 October 2015 at 23:01 #45225Now the Ood are very cool unless they have that red eye malarkey going on 😀
I will report back to let you all know which civilisations I meet down my cave tomorrow hehehe
20 October 2015 at 22:49 #45222Follow your nose, the more Cheddary you get the closer you are, once you can gorge yourself on Somerset Brie, watch out for the mites going up as your tights come down you’ll be there 😉
@blenkinsopthebrave keeping my eyes peeled!!!!
20 October 2015 at 22:19 #45218Post #44963 @phaseshift and @purofilion and @arbutus and @bluesqueakpip and @ichabod and @countscarlioni Yup loved the Third Doctor reference to reversing the polarity (plus @ anyone else who squeed at it too 😀 )
Welcome @starla
Not sure what to add (perhaps could point out that the Normans were Norsemen so we are still living with the consequences of a viking well into the 21st century)
Ashildr’s countenance changed as the seasons/years (not totally convinced the sweep around shot showed decades rather than months passing) She started of smiling and grew sadder…. She needs another visit from the Doctor, just imagine how much of a boost the Weeping Angels would get if they zapped her or Captain Jack.
I think the key line is/may/wasn’t (depending upon future/past/current events will be “hybrid”
Jenny, Dr Donna, Human 10, Claricles, Clara(???) River, Dalek Sec and Dalek Caan Master/Missy
Speaking of boot-straps is not 13 exactly this from his appearence in The Day of the Doctor ????
and are not boot straps = laces = tangled string = timewimey anyway
ps staying in Wookey Hole but very disappointing, no Wookies or Jedi anywhere!!!!
13 October 2015 at 18:52 #44706The Sea Devils were personally a very successful monster, I lived a stones throw from the sea and a monster who literally waded outof the sea was very freaky.
Not all monsters/villains/neredowells necessarily make the grade but I would theorise that most of them hit the grade with some of the audience ( exception being the liquorice allsorts man monster )
Time for another coffee 🙂
12 October 2015 at 20:29 #44626Great set of posts, as per use-er-aaaal
I do belive that quite some time ago Clara is a Claricle debate occured , this may be the forums own loop 🙂
Clara has been a Dalek twice, cried Mercy (echoed/introduced that word to the Dalek lexicon as the Daleks are timeytimey too) Died first time survived second
Died near the pond fighting the GI (Fisher King is in effect the same as the GI) Survives the biblical flood second time.
So the Fisher King will return and claim Clara’s soul
Yup I’ve been on the quintuple espressos again
10 October 2015 at 08:17 #44407Interesting discussion, my thoughts on what makes a great monster would be two fold.
1/. The initial concept.
No need to revisit earlier posts as to why so successful but suffice to say Daleks, Cybermen, Sea Devils (Yes the Sea Devils) and Weeping Angels etc
That initial impact for a variety of reasons could be reflections of current/past political issues or something that makes a particular monster stand out personally. The greater the initial impact the better said monster can survive poor follow up adventures.
Impact does not equate with budget for costume or currently special effects wizardry but the psychological impact, for example The 456 as the main monsters but then our own government(s) magnified their evil by betraying the people. Great monsters make us see them in ourselves.
2/. Writing post introduction
This is the tricky one, but if the follow on stories are good the monster/villain can grow. The Daleks have been well served in this the Cybermen perhaps less so (though I absolutely loved the Neil Gaiman “Nightmare in Silver” Cyberman, these little beauties had menace with upgrades). Sontarans can become more than they are now (especially with @whisht ‘s Sontaran Dog’s of War concept)
Battery went on my laptop half way through this so apologies if it makes less sense than what used to be usual and may become usual again, life is a bit timey-wimey ;0)
19 September 2015 at 18:26 #42960Hello all
Sorry it’s been so long, I’ve missed you all but I’ve been working away from home and with virtually no Internet access…… however back and incredibly excited about the new series and jumping up and down squeeeeeeing internally about what the gang are going to write about
Manly hugs to all
Thats appropriate type of hugs one hopes 😉
19 February 2015 at 21:12 #38125Ohhh Ayn Rand wasn’t that the pen name of Aryan Rant ???
19 February 2015 at 20:58 #38124Sorry been up to my ears in mud, idiot clients, things breaking, water where it shouldn’t be, no water where it should be and “other minorly irritating but taking a long time to sort out of stuff” (aka omibtalttspps), but I haven’t forgotten you all….. Hiya all 😀
19 February 2015 at 20:51 #38123Yes saw something on the dreaded F/B and was happy…… Is that too wrong?????
26 January 2015 at 10:05 #37619Followed the link and thoroughly enjoyed your writing, bloomin’ fantastic
25 January 2015 at 10:15 #37602It first occurred when I logged in from home between Xmas and the New Year
When I went back to work I am on mobile connection at I got that response most time I tried to log on via my tablet. The connection speed was low and I wondered if that was the problem (remember the early days of little blue bar my sites are slower than that lol).
If I keep getting this I will log times from now on and let you know the next weekend I’m home ( the joys of site work!!!)
Bot and comedy the secret is in the timing
Keep up the fantastic work, and thank you once again for setting up this haven
24 January 2015 at 06:27 #37572When I’m away from home and try to sign in I get a message informing me that my account/this site has been net bot attacked and I should try again in a while.
Is this because on site my signal is slooooow (struggles for 3g) or another reason?
Or was it @scaryb that actually broke the site …… hehehe
Anyway home for two whole days yippee going to find out what I’ve missed here
9 January 2015 at 19:46 #37145The professor also may be a dream character and the Doctor could have danced once more 🙂
6 January 2015 at 20:15 #37025Danny has died three no four times, so he may still yet return……. well 99.999999% not
Death One, was to destroy Clara to get her to try dealing woth the Doctor ( using the Timelord techno copy Dream Crab) The accident orchestrated by Missy in this theory
Death Two, Cyber Danny deals with his PTSD (has already planned to try and save the boy) and then sacrifices himself and the Cyber army to save the world
Death Three, he saves the boy by not returning
Death Four, he heals Clara and the Doctor, he started off as a dream but the real Danny broke through to make Clata choose life. As Santa was real both within the dream and outside of it (tangerine on the sill) so Danny was Dream-Danny and Real-Danny within the dream
Ahhh Coffee
ps what is the average age for trolls ? That last one must have been 56 plus if anything posted was true….. doh
31 December 2014 at 08:36 #36731My wish list

30 December 2014 at 15:55 #36663@janetteb and @bluesqueakpip to go with bonkers theorising get yourself a bonkers hobby like wot I does (Medieval {choose period to suit} Re-Enacting) whenever we camp there is always a camp fire and mead 🙂
By the by I loved Children of Earth, it had my parental protection meter going through the ionosphere
Happy to go with the consensus on reviewing the Whoniverse ……
How’s about a book on Who, I’m certain that our dear dread dark lord @phaseshift would have an inkling or two about a spiffing good read
Interweb hugs for all for the rapidly approaching New Year
29 December 2014 at 08:33 #36604Surely meme in french would be pronounced moimoi???????????
29 December 2014 at 08:07 #36600Hi All 🙂
Well absolutely brilliantly fantastic and with small orangeous fruits that may have been Satsumas/Tangerines/Clementines/Kumquats/Mandarins/Minneolas (see how I slipped one in there especially for @purofilion )
I must echo @bluesqueakpip post #36511 and say what struck me was how the victims (whose back story was known or alluded to) of the Dream Crabs were those who would go with a dream to make life bearable.
Now someone is touting for a place high up on the naughty list so lets address the reality of Father Christmas.
Clara stays with him she needs his magic more than any other protagonist (in my opinion, other opinions are available just not necessarily correct …. hehehe).
The Doctor awakens goes to find Clara and she is ‘grand old Clara’ we have a 180 degree shift for both the Doctor and Clara from The Time of the Doctor, crackers and all.
Father Santamas not only has a sleigh bigger on the inside (foreshadowed by the Doctor once having pockets bigger on the inside) but by the very nature of present delivery (and therefore in all probability criss-cross’s his own timeline continuously every 24th December) is far more astute at managing micro-time than your common garden Timelords and thus a gift for the Doctor and or Clara (I think purely for the Doctor though as Clara had enjoyed her life post Doctor). Clara’s reaction to being wakened for the second time was ”Am I still old?”
The kicker being the tangerine appearing on the windowsill
On the Celestrial Toymaker, he has already returned to the Whoniverse…….. What did 12 spend the majority of his time doing in Christmas?????
Remember timey-wimey is time flowing in all directions at different speeds at all times or not 😉
3 December 2014 at 21:41 #36030@arbutus I think we’ve stumbled into Ye Olde Wickerman by mistake :p
I’ll have a pint of scrumpy and a box of swan vestas please hehehe
28 November 2014 at 06:32 #35864Echoes @janetteb and hopes @Purofilion ok
Reports are of a violent storm with hailstones the size of tennis balls
19 November 2014 at 07:59 #35739@badwolf GCSE’s showing your youngster credentials again hehehe
History in my school days started in 1485 and ended in 1815, luckily I had already been bitten by the history bug and read outside the syllabus.
Not so much the curse of Fenrick as the curse of no 3G service the joys of working on site :s
I’ll attempt to catch up on Sunday and add to to the conversation
14 November 2014 at 10:31 #3552714 November 2014 at 07:43 #35524@danmartinuk I still visit your excellent blog every week but hardly ever comment especially if I disagree with you as the tone of negatively in the comments is wearisome. Please be assured that your work is appreciated and as my dad used to say to me ‘Don’t let the buggeers grind you down’
Respite always available here 😀
@Purofilion no anorak just incredibly bright hi-vis orange fleece or saturn yellow water proofs etc etc, I love working outside on real sites doing real engineering just like to have a moan every now and then 🙂
Waves at all and hellos to new members
13 November 2014 at 18:28 #35460I think I agreed with you before you posted, how’s that for timey wimey 🙂
Osgoods death or “death” served it’s dramatic purpose perfectly with her still being dead or “dead” at the end of the episode. If she is resurrected from being dead or downloaded ( myriad of other Doctor Whoisms for being saved) from being “dead” won’t detract for me the impact of the evilness of Missy
I used the “….” for anything that is used to save her if she didn’t actually die
13 November 2014 at 11:59 #35436Bonkers bonkers bonkers…….
Missy applied lipstick prior to killing Osgood
Hallucinogenic lipstick, yup, we were all under the influence of Missy and saw what she wanted us to see. Who better to break the 4th dimension/wall than super bonkers Missy
Back to worshiping @purofilion goddess of the gum boot 😀
13 November 2014 at 10:10 #35431Muddy everyone oops I meant morning everyone
Well in the eternal triangle of Bucks, Oxon and Northamptonshire where the winds blow, the rain cascsdes and the earth slowly liquifies into a soul sapping gelatinous ooze….
Anyway a couple of points
Both the Brig and Dan had served and acted as moral soldiers, yes making horrific mistakes too, shown explicitly with Dan and the boy. So when pressured to delete emotions would know that you need the pain to make you moral. Hence I have no problem whatsoever with these characters resisting the easy way out.
Next up Osgood death. Her death had already served it’s dramatic purpose. It was final and complete. If she is bought back by some timey wimey Doctor stuff it won’t affect the dramatic theme of Death in Heaven, just as River appears post Silence in the Library doesn’t decrease the sacrifice she made for the Doctor.
Who is magical and death is not always final. The whole premise of regeneration central to Who is that who you are does not cease to be when your body is old and wearing thin.
Ps the only religion I have is welly boots and dry warm clothes 🙂
12 November 2014 at 16:12 #35391The nearly afterlife in the nethersphere had been seeded by Missy
Hence the three words ‘don’t cremate me’ as the cybernanobots need a body to create a Cyberman ashes just won’t do….. unles you want teeny weeny cyberdustmites 😉
10 November 2014 at 16:12 #35255@mudlark 😀
The Master was at the end of time/Universe in his pocket watch and Gallifrey was destroyed by the War Doctor having used the Moment….. or so we thought. The never ending drumming being used by Rassilon to call the Master to link pocket Gallifrey to real time and space. We the audience and the Doctor believe that Gallifrey has been destroyed not saved. The Timelords know they have been saved and are working out plans for a return, two plans have been used so far, the sound of drums and The Crack in The Wall (a town called Xmas) the Master/Missy split probably happened at in this period and jazz hands she escaped (Prisoner Zero anyone???)
So the Master defeats Rassilon and dies regenerates into Missy with or without gratitude ftom non Rassilon side on Galifrey. The Master was at one point everyone on Earth including Clara Prime and any Claricles present. The Master may also have had a bedtime story told to him by Clara.
Remember folks the Masters/Missy’s timeline does not have to follow the Doctors they may end up married yet too scrub the fake wedding to Marilyn Monroe 😉
I think this post got away from its original point if indeed it had one!!!!
Time to tear more wallpaper off the wall
10 November 2014 at 09:27 #35241Adric is the boy that Danny doomed then saved
And
Danny is infact Dr No 5 this time saving Adric
Double Bonkers Mondays bought to you vis quintuple shot latte productions…… 😉
9 November 2014 at 21:26 #35189Surely the return of Gallifry when the Master saves the Doctor happens after the Timewar thus the Master was in effect never in the Gallfry pocket a soup cup and using yet another of @Purofilion s hands therefore both inside and outside of the pocket cup a soup so we have multiple Masters or Schrondigers Master/Missy
Perhaps its a cup a coffee universe 😉
9 November 2014 at 21:16 #35187@lisa Osgood didn’t have a twin she had a duplicate Zygon thus Bonkers Theory 15b part 6 sub section iii is that the Zygon got Missy’d
Bonkers Theory 15b part 6 sub section xxiv is Osgood’s nice words got her zapped to the nethersphere for Missy to use in the Christmas special or subsequent plot
